It's been two weeks since I dyed it and its behaved much like an SFX dye (I was using blue velvet before) no rub / run off and it's still pretty blue! The only place it hasn't stuck is the inch or so of unbleached virgin roots I have - it came off my roots in a couple of washes, so it doesn't stick to unprocessed hair at all well.

I'm going to redye at the weekend so ill see if it sticks to my roots any better with round two.

Do you have better luck with SFX dyes on unbleached root growth?  Good to hear it's behaving so well for you!  For the money, the Adore dyes are excellent!

Yes I think the SFX sticks far better to unbleached hair, but my natural hair is particularly unporus (it's straight and fine - without bleach its like baby hair) so those with coarser hair or curly hair may find it sticks better.

Also although it costs more SFX has a better range of colour variety...but Adore is cheap, doesnt stain your skin as badly and smells fab! Ill probably end up buying both as I like them equally for different reasons.

Yes.  I agree!  We've used both SFX and Adore and like them both equally for different reasons.  I do like that there isn't run/rub off.  🙂  I do wish the Adore behaved better on virgin hair, though.

I'd be really curious to see some pictures of this shade fading out. Is it tolerable faded out, or do you have to go re-dye?

I don't really have any unfortunately - I got sick of my roots and bleach bathed them and then put SFX Blue Mayhem on top. I much preferred the colour of Blue Mayhem - it was more of a "true" blue, Indigo blue has a slight green undertone that I wasn't keen on. This is the result I got

You say Indigo Blue has a slight green tinge? I ordered some to mix with aquamarine and I was afraid to use the Indigo because it was flat out purple in the bottle. Under the blue I have now is atomic pink and I really don't want purple. Were you worried about the purple color when you put it in your hair?  *puzz*

Your blue is lovely!

Yeah it does look bright purple in the bottle - you can't really get a good idea of the adore dyes from their bottle colour. If you dab a bit on the end of a dye brush or a paint brush and run it under the tap you'll see the run off is blue, not purple at all (it's weird) and that's the result I got on my head too - I was expecting "bluey purple" I got "blue with a slight green undertone" as you can see from the photo.
