Well, they're not on my head quite yet, but I have been sent a few progress pics of my new set of synth dreads from Anouk Dreadmaker today, so I thought I'd share them!  I love them! Here they are:

I don't know much about synthetic dreads, will you have to keep that colour, or do you have the option of dying the white bits?

Synthetic dreads aren't dye-able (is that even a word?), but they're also not permanent dread extensions.  You braid them into your hair, wear them for up to 3 months max, and then un-do the braids to take them out, and there's no damage to your own hair from them.  You can then wash & re-use them over and over again. So they're perfect for wearing while you grow your hair out, which is what I'm doing with them.  I plan on getting another few sets in different colours for when I want to change to different colours.

When are you having them put in? I can't wait to see the results. How long are they?

I'm installing them myself, but not for another few weeks yet.  I need to make an appointment to go have my fringe cut back in first, then once the fringe is in, I'll put the dreads in.  They're around 18-20" long, so mid-back length.  I can't wait to have long hair again (even if it is fake!), and will definitely post some pics once they're in!

They're awesome, Mindi!!!  If I were to ever have long hair again, I think this would be the only way I'd enjoy it.  πŸ˜€  I can't wait to see yours installed.  xx
