Adore African Violet - Blurple

This is Adore African Violet diluted 1:1 with conditioner and left overnight.
My base was pale yellow with oddly greyish roots after bleaching & toning.

I know it's a blue-based purple but it's come out more blue than I expected!  Little bit darker than I expected as well.  I'm liking it though, I have inky blurple hair for the first time ever  8)  in all honesty I'd prefer a slightly warmer "cadbury" purple so when top-up time comes around I might try to mix something up.

I'm also super happy to NOT have dye stains on my ears and neck for once!  I wonder if that's to do with diluting it with conditioner, or the moisturiser I used as a barrier.

What a lovely colour! It's sort of a dark denim Indigo kind of colour!

Lovely!

The barrier certainly will have helped with stopping staining in your skin.

That's really nice! Very blue indeed, but it's a lovely colour none the less!

I always get my skin stained, but my hair is longer so it hides my neck and ears, haha. And it usually washes off within a couple showers anyway. Props for not getting stained skin though! I'm just too lazy to do that extra step. πŸ˜›

Also wanted to say I looooove the placing of that one round piercing between the lobe and the cartilage, at the end of the crease! I have one around there somewhere, but it doesn't look at precisely placed as this one. πŸ™‚

I always use moisturiser to try to prevent the stains, this is just the first time it's worked!  Normally I'm there scrubbing at it with jojoba oil.

This time I used vaseline "essential moisture" lotion with oat extract (not petroleum jelly, I hate that stuff) which I stumbled upon while working offshore.  I asked a medic for barrier cream to limit the rash I get from drysuit seals and he gave me this stuff.  It smells nice and my skin loves it. Win win win.

Gorgeous colour! I love adore dyes and they never seem to stain half as much as other brands  πŸ™‚

Thank you  πŸ™‚

I don't enjoy applying Adore dye, it's a bit too liquid/drippy for my liking but I've had no rub-off from it at all!  Whereas every time I've used Directions it's rubbed off onto EVERYTHING.

Yeah I get that with Adore too. It's a pain in the bum to apply but the no rub-off is more than worth it! i'm reluctant to use any other brand now.

And I love this colour!
