Well if you don't want all-over colour then I wouldn't suggest going for natural roots and colour as most of the hair is going to get colored anyway (at least so it is in the pictures you posted). I'd go for something like the last pic you posted or similar to that? Something like this maybe?

Or something like this one as well (haha ignore the fact that for some weird reasons these are all blues)

yeah i agree the brown and yellow hair is lovely! especially how the yellow has been placed slightly into the fringe

My favorite applications are hidden strands and colored ends.
