Hi everyone,
I just wondered if anyone has had any good results from a permanent purple dye? I'm looking for a purple more on the pink or blue side, not red.
I'm finding a lot of permanent purples come out way more brown or red than purple. I would rather the purple have a pink or blue tone to it than brown or red.
I have tried the Schwarzkoft purples, with the exception of Mystic Violet. They mostly had a red tone.
I have also tried Superdrugs own Pick n Mix Violet, which was quite nice but went brown very quickly.
I haven't tried Loreal or Garnier.
What experiences have you guys had or would you recommend a particular brand/shade?

Most permanent dyes are made for people that want a hint of colour, not a "wham bam I'm PURPLE" colour, so they have a brown or red base.
I'd advise getting away from the permanent dyes and just use direct dyes.

Have you tried Manic Panic semi permanent hair dye? I love their Purple Haze shade. It's a bright purple and has a pinkish side to it:) You can see how it looks in this pic removed link *
Also, as it fades it becomes a more natural lilac shade.
