As I Am Coconut CO-Wash

I have only used this product twice, and so far I really like it. For reference, I have extremely dry hair and scalp, porous hair and extremely fine hair (every hair stylist I have been to says they have never seen finer strands).

Packaging:
It comes in a big jar which for me is kind of a pain in the arse in the shower since I have to find somewhere to set down a big lid and a big fat jar. I'm afraid I'm going to knock it over and have it all fall down the drain. On the plus side, a jar is easier to get the amount of product I need for my long hair. I would prefer a squeeze bottle but a jar is less annoying than a pump that I have to press 10 times.

Consistency:
The consistency is a bit runny so you have to be careful to not let it slip through your fingers. It slides easily through hair and is easy to work in. It has nice "slip" and just glides through tangles.

Scent:
It does have a strong scent but I think it's nice. Smells like coconuts.

Value:
It's a 16 oz jar and the average price is $8.00 (US) so it's a pretty good value. The previous cleansing conditioner I used was L'oreal's which is like 8 oz for $7.00.

Performance:
It's supposed to help maintain and add moisture and I'll say it's alright at doing that. I don't expect miracles with my hair type and I imagine it will work much better for people with less porous hair. It did not make my hair feel too dry but I did put a little bit of olive oil on once it had air dried. My hair dried with a nice natural wave which was rather surprising as my hair is neither straight nor does it have a wave pattern. It typically dries looking like I slept on it with random waves and curls and straight bits that have no rhyme or reason. The BIG reason I am loving this right now is it makes my hair so much smoother and less tangly. My hair loves to knot in the back and drives me crazy but here I am on the day after washing with out putting any silicones on my ends and I can run my fingers all the way through. My hair is not really shiny on its own any more since my hair type changed to extra dry. Coconut CO-wash doesn't really do anything to add shine for me but many people do get added shine.

Color Safeness:
This did leach out more dye than I expected but I did have to remind myself I used mostly Adore and not Manic Panic. For me Adore always tends to run more in the shower. It didn't fade too badly in the back where I have less layers of dye but it is noticeable. In the front where I have about a million coats of dye there is really no noticeable fade at all.
