Directions Midnight Blue + Pravana Violet

So well on my way to silver hair… and I had an accident!

OH & I were in the process of buying a house which is very stressful and I managed to let my roots get to 2'' long… big whoops! I decided to try and tackle them the other evening. Sadly, I did my usual (I ALWAYS do this…) and washed the bleach off before it had lifted to the desired shade.

So I was left with very orange 2'' wide band around my head lol. Too much hassle to tone it as was too dark for the rest of my hair, so thought I'd go a little darker until it's safe to even things up.

I used about half a tube of Pravana Violet, mixed with 2 dollops of Directions Midnight Blue and a squidge or Nirvel ArtX Grey (not sure why, though it might add a little interest!).

The result is something I actually like a lot – I've been concentrating so much on getting light enough to silver/grey, I had forgotten how much I enjoy having wacky, crazy bright hair! I do love having light/blonde/white hair, but this has made a refreshing change after over a year of slowly getting it light.

So I plan of finding out how it fades, and go from there. Will even it out again, for sure, but who knows – I may decide to keep topping it up!

First pic is after I had rinsed it out, so still wet and VERY blue.

Second is how it is today, after first CO wash – not the best light as sitting in work, bright sun coming in through the window and office lights above!

I also get the cool effect of it being purple when I'm in the living room at home, to it being blue when I'm in the kitchen lol.
