Thanks Mindi. May take you up on that at some point when I have some quiet time. So glad I have somewhere impartial to vent a bit without upsetting anyone on the inside.

Bit bummed that I failed a job interview :/ I was researching for hours and thinking of what they could ask me.
They asked me the last question which I didn't expect in the way it was said.
So what I'd planned didn't fit the question she asked.
At least I have another 3/4 opportunities lined up.
Just stressed because I need a full time job. Relocating is just getting pushed further and further away which is putting strain on mine and my mums relationship :/

Randomwickedness, I'm so sorry.  We're all here if you need to talk.

I've never been through anything quite like that, but all I can say is don't bury your emotions.  If you feel angry, feel angry.  If you want to cry, cry.  Don't feel like you have to be a rock for everyone else--during times like this, family lean on each other, true, but in the end they all hold each other up.

If you feel his passing was due to negligence, it might help you and your family receive some closure if you investigate filing complaints and starting lawsuits.

Zaralilly, I'm sorry that you feel the interview didn't go well.  How to answer some difficult interview questions is a link you might find useful.  Questions that interviewers like to be asked at the end of interviews may also help.  The second link also has questions you should never ask during an interview, but these should help you feel a bit more prepared if you get a question that seems like it comes out of left field and they will help you leave a good impression at the end of the interview.

Good luck with your other interviews!

Hate how despite not being really ill I feel rubbish.

You are bound to feel the illness more because you've had a lot to deal with. Don't be hard on yourself.

My moan is just an irritation compared to that 🙁

It's with a pain in the neck Amazon seller. I got a bottle of peroxide. When it got to me, the box was too small, to the point the sides were bulging to allow for the round bottle. So there was no room for any protection in the box. It was too long for the bottle however and the end had been smashed and the end of the bottle squashed down so it had a split under the cap. There was peroxide spilling out and the box was smushy.

So I sent them a mail telling them. They said "we aim to offer a 5 star service" and "the boxes are custom made for our items". Well, if that's true, doesn't seem a great idea to custom make them too small. Idiots.

So they said they'd send a replacement. I decided I didn't want one as I didn't trust them to send it in a safe way. So I asked for a refund. They said, "we can't issue a refund without a return". I'm not really convinced of this anyway, but I sent back a slightly ranty email asking exactly how they expect me to send back a leaking bottle!!

They replied "Hi, I am sorry we are closed today. Please drop our company this message on Monday and we'll get the replacement out same day. Thanks"

ARRRGG! I have to resend a message because you're so incompetent you can't mark a message as unread?!

After a few more back and forths and me getting more and more annoyed they finally said, though after I'd had to suggest it, to send back the empty bottle and they'd refund my cost. They insisted on 2nd class which ended up costing me £6.30. Nearly as much as the flipping bottle cost me in the first place. Idiots. I still have no idea how they think they're going to refund this.

Anyway, so still not having had the refund a week later, I messaged to ask if it's processing or what?

"Hi, a replacement has been posted if you can confirm once received please and we'll refund your postage Thanks"

I feel like going to their warehouse and punching someone. I have never given bad feedback before. This is going to get some REALLY bad feedback.

I'm hoping I get at least one job offer!

I don't know anyone that has it, but I know 15 (yes, 15!) women that have had been tested for lupus as they've had strong indicators it was lupus. None actually had it. They've mostly all had other autoimmune things, can't remember the names now though!

For one it was something a little worse than lupus, but she's amazingly on the mend now and coping with it. She'll possibly have more, nastier flair ups in the future, but she's back at work now and has little pain at the moment. She actually said, most of the time now, she just feels like normal with the normal aches and pains of someone just turned 50 🙂

Some were connected to arthritis. My step sister actually has the same thing as my brother. A severe form of arthritis. They both go through pretty nasty flair ups, but with medication it's pretty controllable. In both cases its connected to the psoriasis they had as kids.

For the rest, I really can't remember now what the final diagnosis was, but they were all lesser things.

From what I understand of lupus, it behaves the same way as other autoimmune diseases. As in, it has flair ups but also subsides. I think sun is a very common trigger, but that might just be for the skin rashes some/most (not sure) get.

Not so long ago, lupus was a much worse diagnosis and I think it still holds that scary feeling that went with it then. Now though, its very treatable! It's not nice, I won't sugar coat it, but these days its not going to shorten life expectancy because of the drugs and pain is manageable.

It does sound still like you have an autoimmune something or other, but it sounds like they're on the right track. With my poor brother, who from the age of 20 - 30 could barely walk from the pain in his knees, they just couldn't decide what was wrong with him and took 6 years to even get as far as the autoimmune bit!

Anyway, that's my sum knowledge of it. I hope I've not scared you more! It is treatable 🙂

Sorry not replied for ages.Since then my ankle and foot was really painful and swollen and all pains up calf went GP again he sent me for another blood test thought it could be deep vein thrombosis 🙁
Got results back later in the day was a bit high he was 99% sure it wasnt DVT but sent me to hosp with letter just in case.DR at hosp took more blood asked few questions and did tests. He was a autoimmune specialist and reckons like you said its some kind of auto immune illness maybe rheumatoid arthritis or something else autoimmuny.

Gave me some Naproxen antinflammitaries to take for 6wks and Im going to see him again in few weeks for more tests etc. MY foot and calf much better can walk on itnow 🙂 Only problem tablets are so harsh on my stomach Ive got to take Omaprazole to counteract the stomach probs, not sure I can mange 6wks of the stomach stuff.Got an appt with GP next Weds will see if theres anything else he can give me less harsh on my stomach.

Thanks so much for your support and advice much appreciated <3

That is awful, I hope they find whoever did it and that they pay for the damage 🙁

My moan is tiny and silly, but I am already bored of my brown hair and I've not even had it for a week yet! I am contemplating just cutting it short so that all previous damage is gone and then I can have brights again.

Janine I hate that kind of thing- makes me want to scream like a cougar. How can people be so useless?

Zaralily good luck! Really hope something great comes up.

Moonfairy that sounds painful. Glad you are getting somewhere with it and hope your appointment goes well.

Littlepink That is awful! Hope they catch those responsible and you get it all sorted.

Glitter get hold of all the bandannas, clips and hair adornments you can then have fun playing.

Aww glitter! I was worried you were going to say that, but it was sooner than I expected 🙁 only get it cut off short if its what you really want.

This amazon seller is playing hard ball. Yeah, well I can be a tough nut to crack when it comes to battle of wills!

It is a nice colour but I don't feel like me! I'm thinking of getting it cut like Aeon Flux style, then most if not all my damage would be gone, then decolour the brown out and carefully lighten my virgin roots...

I can't believe that company are still messing you about!

Thank you randomwickedness! Hopefully it won't be too long, I've agreed to 28 hours at my current job because I'm gagging to save more money than I am currently. 10 and 1/2 hour shift ever Saturday will be testing!

Ouch Moonfairy, I hope your appointment goes well!

Not sure if this should be a moan or a GV, but:

Yesterday I gave my beautiful engagement ring back to my childhood sweetheart and said goodbye. It's very sad but it's definitely the right decision. I called it off last Friday and although I was really upset to begin with I feel like a massive weight has lifted now. So we broke up, and we-e are never ever ever ever getting back together 😉

Mouse, it may feel sad and strange right now, but if you feel deep down that it's the right decision, then it's definitely for a reason, and you will move on to happier times.  🙂
