Have A Good Old Moan....

Was startled awake by the telephone ringing at 11:30 pm last night.  Our four teens were out taking in a film, and they rang us to say the theatre was on lock down because the tornado sirens were blaring, and they wanted to make sure we knew.  O_O  We had NO idea as we were dead asleep... so we rushed around to fetch our three youngest out of bed and get them safely from the second story to a lower room with no windows.  The storm raged through with no damage for us... thankfully.  We paced the floors waiting for our teens to make it home safely before we went back to bed.  After a surge of adrenaline like that... I had a really difficult time finding sleep again.  I have a feeling it's going to be a long day and a nap may be on order.

Tabitha, sorry that they're being jerks.

FizzWhizz, I'm sorry about your hamster.

Debbielou, hope your kids are feeling better soon.

Pippa, sorry your mom is being so cruel 🙁

Modified, glad to hear that you're all ok, even though it sounds like it was really scary.

I've been feeling really down for the last week and I'm not sure if it's caused by Microgynon or if the boredom is getting to me. Every day is the same and I have nothing to do. 🙁 The boredom is also amplified after my boyfriend goes back home.

🙁 my bf has really been struggling with his the last few days.

I have had a lot of minor ailments in the last week and its really started to get annoying.  Cold, cold sore, infected wisdom tooth and migraine to name a few!

My youngest, who's only 8, has horrible sunburn on his face and neck; his Dad took him to a stock car race day yesterday and didn't put any sun cream on him. He hardly slept because it was so sore and by this morning his nose was covered in blisters. And to top if off, kids at school have been taking the pee all day so now he's a tired, upset little boy.

I am so steaming at my ex.

It's not something I even knew existed until I moved to the east of the country! I never got it before moving to Cambridge. It's better now I'm in London and I get it a lot less, but it still takes me by surprise!

FizzWhizz, so sorry to hear about your son.  That's so sad.  Do watch him for signs of fever... if he develops a fever, he should be seen by a doctor.  🙁  Poor little man.  Sunburns are no fun, and neither are mean children.  🙁  *hugs*

Sorry to hear about the asthma.  🙁  That's no fun at all!

ETA: my moan is I would like to let my natural eyebrows fill back in... but I have tweezed them so slender and short to give myself a higher arch, I'm not sure I can live with the stubble.  I don't know how to stop tweezing the regrowth!!!  🙁

I fill my eyebrows I every day, I just use a slanted eyeliner brush and brown powder 🙂 I could live without any of my makeup except from this!!

Thank you ModifiedMomma, my son is alright now after lots of cuddles -- You're right, kids can be so mean, I'm sure I wasn't that vile when I was in junior school!

I agree with Meeshy about filling in your brows, I don't feel "done" unless I have my brows painted! I too get on much better with a dark brown shadow and an angled brush, most brow pencils have far too much red in for me. If you're encouraging growth, castor oil is meant to be very good at speeding things along 🙂

FizzWhizz, I'm so glad your little guy is better after cuddles.  I also don't remember being that vile when I was in junior school... but I knew plenty of kids who were.  🙁

Yes, I do fill mine with pencil first, then I go over with eyeshadow on an angled brush.  Without that, I have eyebrows only about 1/3 of the way over my eye (I've tweezed them that much).  But, tbh, my natural arch is quite low, and so in order to open my eyes up, I've tweezed the natural arch completely away and have been filling in the rest for years as I stated above.  I'm just tired of having no brows unless I put my face on.  Ha ha!  I suppose I just might have to live with it.  😀

I went to the opticians yesterday and I have a weird freckle/mole on the back of my eye it's quite large too 🙁 I had to do all sorts of tests, the optician took a photo and it looked like one of those skin cancer moles 🙁 he said it wasn't bumpy and didn't look veiny, but I still have to see an eye specialist, just incase it's something bad .
