Yodel did that to me too! I stayed in all day with my eye out the window for the delivery van, nothing, all day. Then i tracked it and it said it had been delivered. I phoned yodel straight away and they said it wasnt their problem and to call amazon to get them to post me a new item. I did this, but it totally wasnt fair on amazon to lose out on money when it wasnt their fault in any way.

Oh, amazon don't care. They make so much money these days they can afford to just give out Henry vacuum cleaners willy nilly...

When I was still in my old house with the housemates, they ordered a Henry for when they move to their new flat. Personally, I think they're shit, the wheels fall off and the suction is pathetic after a certain amount of use. I know this as ever shop I've worked for over a 15 year period has had one and they've all been rubbish! But she's Japanese and she thinks its cute with its face and stuff, so that's the most impotant thing 😉

Any way, so it turned out the one of the wheels was wobbly and wouldn't stay in properly (big surprise!), so they contacted the manufacturers for a new part to fix it and they basically said no, screw you. So they went back to amazon and explained all this, amazon said, "oh we're so sorry, here have a new one!". Only, by that point they had moved out of the house and when he emailed and said, lovely thanks, only we've moved and here is our address send it there, they said, oops, too late it's sent and on our super fast same day delivery! So then they said, we'll send another to the new address 😀

THREE Henry's. They didn't want any if the others returned, they wrote the first one off as faulty and the second as lost. It wasn't lost, though the neighbour that accepted it had obviously tried to keep it for herself. When I went to go and see if she wanted to keep it, she wouldn't answer the door even though it was stupidly obvious she was in! So getting it back became more important as she was trying to steal it! So another neighbour tried a couple of times for us, one time she actually answered and lied and said she'd not taken in any deliveries. The name that was signed wasn't hers... But what she didn't know was, yet another neighbour had CCTV installed a few weeks before because the Henry stealing neighbour had been doing weird things like looking in though her kitchen window, letting her dog poo anywhere etc. so she had seen this package go from our door and then to the other, so we knew it was there! So the neighbour that had been trying to get it back for us finally got it when she got the son on his own (he's about 19). He tried to deny at first, but this neighbour he was talking to is kind of scary, so he went an got it.

So yeah, don't feel sorry for amazon. They must know yodel is rubbish but they obviously allow a massive amount for loss, which they can no doubt afford because yodel is probably dirt cheap!

And yes, I've had problems with yodel several times. If a parcel doesn't turn up, I can guarantee it's yodel or DHL (because they seem to have a personal vendetta against me lol

What a mess you've all had with Yodel.  How do people keep using them as a carrier when they're so careless with parcels?!?!

Our hot water heater is on the fritz.  It's electric, and it keeps tripping the circuit breaker so we have no hot water and it's a holiday so I doubt it will be repaired before tomorrow.  🙁

I suffer quite badly with severe anxiety disorder (among other things) and it's really bad today, for no reason that I can think of. I feel so on edge that I'm shaky and feel sick with it. It's frustrating because I'd been managing it well enough off medication for well over a year, but this has hit me out of the blue. I need to do lots of forms and stuff and I just can't so that's stressing me out more. I'm hoping this is just a one off blip, but I can't calm myself at all

My husband's friends - well, some of them - are pissing me off. There's one woman who hangs round with them but when she's not there they all slag her off and make sarky remarks and jokes about her...and when she's there they're nice as bloody pie to her. And husband wonders why I'm so paranoid they don't like me  :-[ Possibly because they're all nice as pie to *me* to my face too? God knows what they say behind my back if they treat one of their own like that! (husband hates her but doesn't hide it and a couple of others aren't two-faced either but the rest? Wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.)

Our hamster has pegged it 🙁 he's been quiet for a week or so, not keen to come out etc, I saw him Thursday night when he had some yogurt drops and a cuddle but I've gone to clean him out today and he'd passed.

Dreading telling my son tomorrow when I collect him from his dad's :'(

Just be sure he hasn't gone "Torpid" before you bury him. Hamsters can go into a form of hibernation when they get cold, they look like they've passed away but they're not...it's really weird 🙁 If he has passed away though I'm sorry, losing pets is really hard. There's some info here http://www.hammysworld.com/index.php?p=hibernate

I'm really sorry for your loss *hugs* I hope your little man is ok as well.

my mum & I have always had relationship issues. She's finally embracing my 'alt look' but when I just sent her a photo of my eyebrowless face she kept calling me ill in the head. I found it really hurtful 🙁 ahe always taught me to say nothing at all, if you have nothing nice to say. shame she can't practice what she preached.

she apolgised for upsetting me, but it's not really the point. grrrrrr. now going to have the *ultimate* eyebrows to teach her the error of her ways!

Aww Pippa.  🙁  I'm so sorry.  Words like that from your own mum cut the deepest of all.  *hugs*  From one who's been on the receiving end of hurtful remarks of a well-meaning (but ill-mannered) mum... you are beautiful no matter what!!!  xxx

Thank you all  *hugs* Raa, I did make doubly sure he'd definitely gone, he had plenty food and water and the room was cosy but not too warm. I gave him a cuddle and a good rub for an hour when I found him but there was no breathing, not even shallow and he'd definitely burrowed off this mortal coil. He was only a baby, but it was obviously his time. My son was devastated but he's been very brave, I'm proud of him.
