I came off mirtazipine and onto fluoxetine at Christmas and the changeover was fine. I've lost a stone since then (put on three when I started taking the M) with no effort on my part whatsoever. Changeover was fine - the change between citalopram and M was bloody awful though.

My psych nurse and my social worker are arriving at my house in 5 minutes and I don't want to talk to them. If I tell the truth they won't let me work. If I lie there's no point them being here. So I'd rather just curl in a ball and hide.

Ugh got to go for a blood test tonight. I hate them; they can never get blood out of me and end up having to take out of the back of my hand (which HURTS) and I usually keel over afterwards too. I have no aversion to needles at all (see numerous piercings and tattoos) but when it comes to having blood taken out my body says NO THANKS and over I go. Bah.

OMG! 🙁 My friend has copied my hair again! her plan was originally to go silver from box red, shes bleached her hair about 7 times this week (against my advice.) and then bam she uploads a picture to facebook saying silver is taking to long, thought i'd go purple!  and she has used the exact same dye i use, styled her hair the same as i do mine too! 🙁 its so annoying she literaly has copied my hair 4 times now, and we look like weirdo's when we go out, cause we look the same, she copies how i dress too. When i first met her she was a completely different person, now she's become like a clone of me..:(
Sorry about the rant but im so pissed off! 🙁

Don't worry, her hair will all snap off soon and she'll be SOL for copying you then 😉

was meant to go on two nights out this weekend, one for my irish friend coming over and one for a very close friend's birthday but ofc I've had to miss out on both due to being jobless. Feeling bitter about them posting on fb about the great times they're having without me and then feeling bad for feeling bitter 🙁

Been seriously, seriously pi**ed off this weekend!  Found out on Friday that the contraceptive pills my doctor put me on at the end of November have weight gain as a known side effect.  Which explains why I've gained nearly 2 stone.  I've been eating healthily and exercising, and I just couldn't figure out why I wasn't losing anything.  I guess that solves the mystery.  So now I have the choice between taking the pills and dealing with the unwanted weight gain, which is a nightmare because I struggle with my weight anyway without adding medication complicating the situation, or dealing with my 'natural' periods which are so heavy and painful that I actually faint from the blood loss (which was the reason why my doctor put me on the pill again in the first place, I was diagnosed with a condition called 'menorrhagia').

And to top it off, the Cyprus banking crisis has seriously f**ked up my plans to expand my business.  My mother was going to give me some money in April to expand my business so that I can actually get it to the level where I can start thinking about leaving my full time job or dropping my hours to part time and doing something I actually enjoy, but she lives in Cyprus.  So she can't transfer any money to me now because there are restrictions on how much people can transfer out of the country.  Bloody banking crisis!  If it had happened a month later, I would have been fine to carry on with my expansion plans!  Now I have to cancel pre-orders that I've placed because I don't have the money to pay for them now!!!

Just feels like everything is against me at the moment!

Just had a massive rant on my facebook, and pretty sure I'm going to get told to stop being 'so opinionated' and a 'know it all' like I've been told by family members before

Also I'm having a bad time financially now that the housing benefit and council tax benefit cuts have come into effect. Stress. Business is so slow that I'm considering just giving up on my shop and getting a boring day to day job. And even that is gonna be difficult cause there are so many people all applying for the same jobs here in bristol, and I can't even afford the daycare for evie because its so expensive nowadays.

Mindi, have you tried mefanemic acid? I used to take this for heavy periods, it's an anti inflammatory and is supposed to reduce your loss. I took it for a while and it helped keep things manageable, the only downside was you can't take other NSAIDs at the same time so I had to take co-codamol for period pain which gave me constipation(!) so I had to take lactulose to deal with that. In the end I had a thermal uterine ablation where the lining of my womb was "burned" with hot saline. It's not something you can do if you want to have children as it damages the womb lining irrevocably but as my family was complete, it was ideal for me. Hope you can find a solution which works for you!

I must admit, it didn't do a jot for my period pain (hence the codeine and associated bunged upness!) but I think I was the exception to the rule on that one. It certainly made my periods easier to manage though, I had got to the stage where I was scared to go out for 10 days each month because I would get "floods" which were traumatic to say the least :/
