Purple to Pink dip Dye

I'm gonna be bleaching then dip dyeing my friends hair purple to pink on Sunday.
She has black virgin hair so I'm guessing it will lighten to an orangey colour. For the pink I have chosen special effects virgin rose as it's a cool toned pink to counteract the orange. Now I just need to order the purple.

I already have some pravana violet, but I'm wondering if that's a bit too permanent to use.
She wants it as long lasting as possible, but something that can be faded out if she wants to lighten her hair in the future or change colours. Also since I'm using pink and purple, I don't want the purple to fade out really quickly compared to the pink.

Would a cool toned purple be a good choice over an orange Base? If so what colours?

So far I've checked out:
Special effects deep purple - is this too warm?
Manic Panic ultra violet - but even with the amplified versions I've found they can still fade quickly, so I'm not sure about longevity with this one
Directions violet - would this last long enough?

I've heard Sparks has GREAT permanent dyes.

You should check out their purples. They have Purple Passion, Magenta, Rad Raspberry and Pink Kiss are all great!

Pravana (perm) has some good ones too-- Wild Orchid, Violet,  Magenta and Pink.

OH and ADORE (semi perm). Adore has like 5 shades of purple.

Definitely do you research and read the reviews. Also keep in mind you can mix colors or even a clear in to a shade to make it custom.

Oh and I'd be careful of the level of pink. Don't pick one to light-- over orange it can give her a peach to purple instead of a pink to purple.

Neither Sparks nor Pravana are permanent dyes, they are both direct dyes. Sparks is basically a Pravana knock off, exact same ingredients but available to the non-professional market

I would go with the Pravana Violet. but it depends what shade of purple she wants really. It will be dark if the base is orangey, if you want a brighter shade choose a warmer purple

Sorry I never saw these replies.

So a couple of weeks ago I went ahead and dyed my friends her and she was very pleased with the outcome. Before I went ahead with the bleaching I did a couple of strand tests to show her the difference between 40vol and 30vol. Funnily enough they came out exactly the same, so I think this is a good lesson that higher vol and supposedly faster lightening doesn't always get better results. The colour of the 30vol almost even seemed cleaner (I'm not sure if that's the best way to describe it) and the condition was definitely better. Could that be because 30 vol lifts slightly slower so it somehow comes out nicer? Of course ideally it's better to use even lower vol over spaced out sessions but the 30vol worked well for what she was after.

I used special effects virgin rose and pravana violet.  The virgin rose came out a lovely berry pink over her golden base and it was very vibrant in the sun. So far the colour has barely faded. However the violet has faded a lot. She also noticed the purple sometimes rubs off a little on her white clothes and when she washes her hair. I have told her about rinsing in cold water and how to prevent fading. However since it was supposed to be a purple to pink ombre I said I'd redo it since the purple has come out so much?

If I added some blue to the pravana violet would it cover better and help counteract the golden tones? Or maybe I should just go for a warmer purple. Or is is it just the case that purple generally doesnt show up as well on a warmer base. I'd love any other advise about what would help the purple stay vibrant longer since I know someone else as well with dark brown hair who wants a purple dip dye.
