Pastel Purple/blue wanting mid grey

Hi,

I am currently a pastel blue/purple/silvery colour and looking to go mid grey. I have tried various grey/silver dyes including Nirvel Artx which turned my hair brown last time I used it!

Directions silver didn't do anything other than turn my hair blue. I'm terrified to experiment as I really don't want my hair to go really dark and get bleached involved.

Does anyone know how I can make my own grey dye or buy a product in the UK which will help me achieve the colour I'm looking for? Cruelty free and semi/demi.

Some parts of my hair are quite vibrant purple so I will be fading as much as possible before anyway. Also my hair shows up super dark in this picture, its actually pretty silvery.
