Hi, Im panicing about how to remove MANIC PANIC, I used an acid colour remover on a client and it did NOTHING wasted money on it used it 3 times and it did nothing. The client was faded out after 4 months.

I then bleach bathed it once but was too scared to repeat as it had been "acid color removed" 3 times already.

has ANYONE *anyone* got a way or removing this permanent like semi? *ott* *stars*

This by far the best method for removing direct dyes: http://www.hairdyeforum.com/index.php?topic=13842.0

I wouldn't recommend it for very damaged hair though. I found it at least as damaging as a bleach bath.

Shampoo mixed with bicarb and lemon juice is the safest method to use. It dries out the hair but doesnt cause damage. A good deep conditioner will restore the moisture into the hair

A few grams of ascorbic acid powder (vitamin C) in enough shampoo to spread through slightly damp hair has worked great on colour that's already been faded as much as it can with shampoo whenever I've tried it. Might need more than one go but will need to be spaced out as it may irritate skin.

The bleach powder/shampoo/oils method is the most effective way to get direct dyes out. To prevent damage soak hair in coconut oil for at least an hour prior to application, (work the mix well into the oiled hair) and only leave the mix on for 10 minutes with gentle heat. Finish with a vinegar rinse.
