hi folks not been on here for ages, hope everyone's fine and dandy  πŸ˜€

I need some advice, please its driving me crazy what to do with my hair. I last dyed it Adore Aquamarine about 5mths ago and its still going strong. Its now 3 different shades as I stupidly let the roots get too long before I dyed it and yet again ive 5mths of regrowth too. I'm left with roughly 2/3" virgin roots,2" of murky greeny yuck and faded aquamarine lengths.

Id really love to do it Adore Purple Rage ,hopefully a bleach powder oil fade may get some more colour out.The problem is I realize when I do roots its gonna be different shades and after dyeing ill have root glare and another shade over the faded lengths so wont look right.
I really want rid of the Aquamarine as i plan to go towards the purple pink shades in future. I was thinking maybe top half one shade and bottom another. I've done strand tests with Directions rose red turquoise and plum, they all came out great. I did strand test with Purple Rage and Violet Gem but they came out a browny muted kinda purple nice shade but id like it brighter. Id rather use Adore as it doesn't rub off much and turn everything purple.
How would I go about dyeing top one shade bottom another? ive only ever done 2 shades once that was just a slice too.
I've got Directions half tub Turq (old stuff),Rose Red, Plum think its the old formula Adore Aquamarine,Purple Rage Violet Gem.
Sorry for super long waffle post and big pics. Please help a girl out my rainbow haired dahlings  *cheers*

Anyone? please could you advise me how to go about doing top of hair inc roots one shade and lengths another. Whats the best method and easiest way to do it. πŸ™‚ I know its simple for most of you to do but im pretty crap only done 2 shades once a small slice and also don't want to end up with murky shade ....help

Hiya, welcome back! I would personally put the darkest/brightest colour on the bottom half as if its on the top half it'll bleed into the lengths more, and rinse the lengths out first and then put conditioner over them to protect from dye as you rinse out the roots. Or you could dye the roots, rinse, then dye the lengths and rinse but that would take a lot longer!

Thanks so much for your reply
I thought similar like rose red on roots plum or purple rage lengths. Also had a thought I've some old formula directions turquoise just under half a tub,I know I want to be rid of the shade but it always faded quite well not like Adore aquamarine, maybe do roots Turq and lengths either rose red or violet gem,as I liked when I did a turq chunk with violet gem the lovely purples and blues it made where it mixed.
Im so indecisive its annoying
Thanks so much, hopefully doing a BB later will post result love to get rid of the aqua and have lovely even base but I know there's no way its gonna happen

blimey i waffle.
