Dying ginger hair brown

So I've tried out tinted conditioners but the effect is too subtle for my liking.

I'm wondering what the best way to dye dark red/ ginger hair a dark brown would be. I want to lose as much of the red ting as possible without damaging my hair too much.

Any suggestions welcome!

I think you need to look for cool browns to neutralise so anything that says cool or ash or iced is usually a good start.

Adore do a couple of dark browns that don't seem overwarm. x

Adore's Medium and Darkest Browns are very ash based + should definitely neutralize any red. You could even add a little bit of blue to it as well if you have more orange tones to your hair.

Thank you guys!

Adore looks good, I don't know if it's available where I live though. Would you guys trust an Ash Brown by Nice N Easy or one of the other big hair companies available in Boots etc?

Thanks for the tips πŸ™‚

I have in the past found nice n easy to be very ashy ash colours.  I have had good experience with Boots Botanics Bitter Chocolate covering red, it does start out super dark (almost black) but settles to a nice brown which is warm without being chestnutty
