So girls im going red again!!
Which means a bleach then red semi perm ontop.
Last time i used Poppy Red Directions which lasted ages for me (topped up every 3rd week instead of 2) and im wondering what shade red in the directions range you think i should go for..... Would like a different shade of red or any mixes of reds you girls have done π want summat vibrant π xx
Help! Lol. π
The brightest Directions mix I have used was 50/50 Poppy Red and Fire, it was a true fire engine/pillarbox red. All the reds mix nicely, so it is really up to you and what shade you want. Also the colour that you bleach to affects the colour, if there is a lot of yellow/orange in your base you will need a pinker toned red to balance it. if your base is pale, then you need to add more orange if you don't want a pink fade. Pillarbox and Poppy are both pink based reds, Fire and Vermillion are orange based reds, Rose Red is a bright magenta pink, Rubine is a deeper red that fades much pinker.
The only combinations to avoid if you want something really bright are oranges/orange based reds with purpley reds like Dark Tulip, they will come out less bright and more natural in tone.
It will be a gingery red tone once bleach has been on π so it would have to be a pink based red to balance yes?
my last lot of poppy red was lurvly lol and come to think of it i did have 1 occasion.where it faded a pinkish tone π
Directions is realllly easy for me to get my hands on as i have a reliable seller who iv used for years π
Try Poppy or Pillarbox, or even diluted Rose Red, if there is enough orange in your hair it comes out a lovely bright ruby red. It has a neon glow that the reds don't have.
Sonia thats lovely on you!
I gotta be honest i have been eyein up the pillar box red as its a shade or so darker not much difference at all tbh π its a lovely shade π
