Directions Lavender faded within 4 days

Hi
I am asking for some advice, on Saturday 26th July I dyed my blonde sections in my hair lavender by Directions.
But now being Wednesday 30th July my blonde sections are no longer lavender, I have quite a white tone to it now with some areas a little bit purple.

I want to know why this colour faded so fast ?

I don't understand because a few months ago I used Directions Cerise pink and that lasted 5 weeks! not 4 days.

Any advice would be very much appreciated thank you.

It's cos lavender is such a pale colour so it doesnt take much to wash it out as it has little pigment, where cerise is a strong colour.

Lots of us who have been pastel dilute down a strong dye with conditioner to the colour wanted and it will need to be reapplied much more regularly than deeper shades.

If you want a really long lasting Lavender colour, Special Effects Deep purple heavily diluted with conditioner is the longest lasting pastel I have tried. I have never found pre-mixed pastels to last well, so I totally recommend mixing your own. Even for hair as long/thick as mine i used less than half a teaspoon of dye so really economical too.
