Color help?

Hello again! πŸ™‚ I was about to do my root touch up but I decided I wanted to change my color up a little bit. I always loved the purple fading to lavender purple hair, my question is, can I dye over my slightly faded pimpin purple hair without having to bleach everything(besides my growing roots)/use color remover(since I live in a country where I don't think color removers are easily available) to a more blue based purple? What color/brand would you suggest?

Another option I'm thinking of doing is purple ombre with teal. Is it possible to cover the magenta with teal at the tips of so it ombres from dark purple to magenta (I will touch up the middle part of my hair with pimpin purple again, and use a blue based purple from the dye recommended to my question above on my roots) to teal? Can teal dye over my already magenta hair? What teal color/brands would you also suggest? Thank you very much! πŸ™‚

I want it to look something like the picture attached but with a slightly darker purple on top. Is that possible with my current hair?
Second photo is my current hair color

A picture of your current colour would help.
If you put a turquoise over a pinky purple it will go either violet or blue. So the darker purple is entirely possible, but you will need to fade the pimpin purple on the parts you want turquoise. You can do this with fading methods such as vitamin c, dandruff shampoo etc you don't have to use colour remover or bleach. (Bleach would be a bad idea unless you want a brighter pink)

I've edited my post to attach a photo of my hair. Noted about the fading methods, I read the thread about that but wasn't entirely sure whether or not it was an option without a color remover afterwards. Will definitely try the head and shoulders shampoo technique. Thanks! What would you suggest for a dark blue based purple color and for teal? πŸ™‚

The fading methods are what we used (and still use) before colour removers existed, so it's fine to do them with out the remover after! πŸ™‚

Thanks! πŸ™‚ how light should the purple be until teal will be able to show? πŸ™‚ do you have color recommendations for blue based purple and teal from sfx brand? πŸ™‚

If you want it like the turquoise in the photo, you need to get out as much as you can. If a dark teal is ok, then a pale pink would be fine.

Got it! πŸ™‚ but does sfx have blue based purple color? Is deep purple blue or pink based? What about wild flower? And is sonic green closer to teal or green? Sorry I'm not very familiar with the colors as I've only used pimpin purple and manic panic's ultra violet and rockabilly blue before

Wildflower is blue-based, but it isn't a very "deep" colour. Not sure about the others.

Deep Purple and Pimpin purple are pink based, you will need to mix with blue to make a violet shade. I like Blue velvet to make blue toned purples.
How light was your base under the purple? it looks to be fading reddish, which makes me think you may have too much orange/yellow in your base for a light blue. Blue shades need a fully bleached, pale blonde base ideally. You can get away with a darker base for a well pigmented dark blue, but light or bright shades need a level 10 base.
Sonic Green is similar to enchanted forest, a blue toned green, Fishbowl is SFXs only turquoise shade

If I mix blue velvet to pimpin purple could I get a dark purple color that fades blueish rather than magenta pinkish colors? I was able to tone the yellow before dyeing before but I did have some orangey bits because I only had purple toner then. Will I be able to cover it up?

Will fishbowl go over the tips of my hair if i fade it out to a lighter color?

If it is faded enough, then yes. it will need to be a pastel pink at least.

Noted! Thanks! Will update this once I am able to dye my hair πŸ™‚ last question though, how can I prevent the purple from going to the teal tips when dyeing my hair? Do I dye the upper part first then after rinsing the purple, dye my tips teal? Also how do I prevent the purple from bleeding Into the teal when shampooing? Sorry I'm really new to multi colored hair
