I bleached my hair to a very pale blonde and whacked some blue mayhem on, left it on for about 3 hours and the result was a bright almost fluro true blue, it was gorgeous.
After 1 co-wash the blue had all washed out to a purple, the ends were almost lilac in places. Did I do something wrong? I know blue washes out quickly but serious, after only one wash with conditioner only??
Has the formula changed at all? I'm really disappointed, even mixing some dye into my conditioner is not doing much. It's all pretty much purple now 🙁

That's really weird, I used blue mayhem a few moths ago and it came out super dark and took forever to wash out. Is your hair too bleached to hold the colour? How many times have you processed it?

I had it nuclear red for about 6 months, used a colour strip and then did a 30vol bleach a week later to remove the red. It's not in bad condition, I k-Pak regularly and trimmed a few inches off after bleaching too.

I used blue mayhem last year and it lasted forever! But I know they've changed the formula for Blue Velvet so it could have changed too. The new formula blue velvet is weird - on my hair it came out dark navy and lasted for absolutely ages, on my friends hair it started out bright blue but faded mucky over the course of about a week! Her hair isn't over processed either - if anything mines going to be worse because it's much longer (mines shoulder blade length hers is just past her chin)
