Bleached to dark Brown

Hey Guys!

I recently went to a salon to try and get a cut, and ombre style with highlights instead of all my tips.  *ott* *ott*

It would have been nice if the stylist told me its a bad idea to go from black to getting hightight.

First she cute my a bit past the shoulders, and they she did a test strip. She bleached a piece , after 10 mins she said it looked the same. She put me in the dryer and after 10 more mins she said it took it. She decided to the highlights. After 40 mins of the bleach she took it off and put a toner for about 15 mins i think. Then condition for another 15 mins. then the dryer for 50 mins. After, she blowdried my hair I notice the complete destruction my hair was. It was fried, the soft feel of putting my hand through my hair was gone. If I put the brush on it, small strips of hair break. Its terrible. I need my hair back. The piece that she did the test on was at the top of my hair and it completely ripped because she should have taken that one piece off 20 more mins instead of leaving it on with the rest for 40 extra mins. That piece is very blonde. The highlights light to medium brown except for that one part the its like the size of my finger and very high blonde at the top of my head which makes it so visible.

I did this on Saturday and have been putting my hair in two braids for the past 2 days using lots of coconut oil.
I purchased a Theorie Argan Ultimate reform shampoo and conditioner for severe damaged hair. I purchase a beach wave coconut spray to curl my hair after washing. I will most likely be going to the supply store to purchase a Sebastian Penetraitt Deep Strengthening and Repair Masque, because it was recommended.

However, I haven't washed my hair since Saturday.

I want to go entirely to the darkest brown now and cut my ends at least half a finger and never attempt to do any bleaching again in my life. I wanted to know if I Can I use a Nice and Easy brand permanent in the shade darkest brown?  I was going to do the dye and leave my hair in the conditioner I bough by Theorie. I was planing on letting it air dry with the coconut beach wave spray then the following week do a the Sebastian penetraitt hair masque..

Will this be a bad idea? Am i missing a product?

Don't use anything permanent right now. It will cause a lot of further damage which it sounds like you really can't afford right now.

Have a look at the Adore range here http://www.beeunique.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=151&zenid=be15de58db6da8c9416364fe4c846481

That would be, by far, the best kind of dye to use now. It's totally non damaging. It's semi permanent, but on badly damaged hair, permanent dyes fade very fast anyway.

You'd benefit from getting either Aphogee Two Step protein treatment or Kpak Reconstructor. They're the best thing for damaged hair, but be careful, over use of protein can lead to more breakage. Get some good quality argon oil (not morrocan oil, they tend to have silicones in, you want just pure argon oil and a cheap coconut oil (but make sure it's pure coconut oil and not mixed with anything, they're available in asian food stores or the world food isles in the super market). They will help a lot with getting your hair to feel more normal again.

Bleaching can be done without severe damage, so don't rule it out for ever. There's just some hairdressers who don't appear to understand how to do it safely.

I second what Janine says, you really don't want to be using anything with a developer at the moment if your hair is feeling fried! I went dark brown over hair that had only been bleach bathed (bleach diluted with shampoo) and never processed more than once and after using a box semi permanent and then a professional permanent my previously very silky hair is very dry and tangled and frizzy! It doesn't hold on to the colour very well either, I still have to use something like an Adore over it to even it out if I'm going anywhere that I need it to look nice!
