Best green to put over blue

I'm looking to go a nice deep emerald green, what would be the best dye to put over my very faded blue hair? It does have streaks of turquoise going through it.

I don't think it'll matter. Very faded blue won't affect the outcome of a deep green generally. It does depend if your idea of very faded blue matches mine! Post a photo of it?

I mixed stargazer blue black (you could use any really dark blue) with directions fluorescent glow to get a gorgeous dark green. It is in the gallery section under green called 'green mix' and it also shows my hair before dying (a light blue).

It's faded quite a bit since I dyed it, and you can see this because my ends are returning to blue and overall it's lighter. I don't mind the fade (currently like my profile pic).

If your blue is faded more than mine (probably) then I guess you'll have less blue showing through when it fades?

I've attached a picture. You can't see the really pale and greenish streaks in it though.

Yeah, I don't think it'll make much difference. Maybe add a bit of yellow just to bring it back to green if a strand test pulls teal or turquoise.

Thank you 🙂 I'm liking the look of Manic Panics Green Envy, if I want it darker will adding a bit of Adores Platinum work? Platinum looks like a really dark blueish slate in the bottle.

I'm not sure. I've read that Pravana black (I think that was it?) is good for deepening colours.

Adore Platinum is quite pastel, it is unlikely to really change Green Envy ( maybe make it slightly more blue toned)
A dash of Adore blue black would darken while still keeping in the blue/green shades.
If you want a darker truer green, you may need to add some red or orange to mute the green

I love the light blue of your fade btw, its really pretty

I do want a truer darker green. Will Adore blue black make it too blue though? It's going ontop of blue as well so I don't want to end up on the turquiose side of green.

Will adding some Adore jet black and some red work?

Maybe a brown based black?
