Heya everyone.
I am just wondering if anyone knows of a good silver or light grey semi or direct dye.. That fades to a nice colour.
I just managed to get rid of pastel purple and it took a lot to getthat green out!! I currently have a pretty good base to work with.. The majority of it is platinum. I just don't want to go putting more blue or green on as it's so hard to get rid of!
I've looked at the Adore Platinum.. Looks nice.. Any ideas? Thanks heaps ;D
Most purple based colours will go green when bleached, so don't use bleach to remove them. If your lilac is fading to green it is usually because there is too much yellow in your base.
Adore Platinum is more a silvery blue than a true silver IME. Pravana silver is nice, or you can dilute the new pravana black.
Thank you so much! Aaaaahhhhh that makes sense!! So have you ever seen the private silver faded?
My avatar pic is faded pravana silver on the top 5 or 6 inches, but I applied it fairly diluted.
So because of the make up of the color silver, there will always be some blue in any silver or grey won't there? Yours doesn't look like it's faded bluey... It's nice. Is that the pravana vivids colour? Did you notice any blue as it faded?
I find it almost impossible to photograph very light silvery colours. Yes, it was pravana chromasilk Vivids in silver, but only the very top part (the rest was just toned with various dyes as it was yellow/green/pink.)
It started out as a lilac toned silver, and did fade more blue, then finally to almost white like in the pic.
Most silver dyes are blue based, if you really want to avoid the blue fade Nirvel Artx in grey is a warmer shade of grey, I had to mix in some blue and green to make it more silver toned.
