Hello ladies (and gents who occasionnally visit)! I am currently sitting with Directions Violet on the first maybe 10 inches of my hair and Directions Turquoise on the maybe last 6 inches of my hair. This could be a disaster! But we shall see. I will add some pictures of the dye sitting on my hair once I've had a bit of food and feel more human (I barely slept with this whole awkward dying ordeal) as well as later when it's rinsed.

I'm excited! But scared!

Here is the dye on. I'm fairly sure I messed up and one side has less purple so I might get some as soon as BU is back up and running. But the turquoise ends look okay. Can't wait to rinse!

So I rinsed around 5pm today. The violet had been in my hair since yesterday around midnight, the turquoise since maybe 11am. I did a "shoirty" and blow dried it and then applied coconut oil to it and left it like this. There was a lot of turquoise in the water but no violet. The violet didn't take that much but frankly I only had half a tub left. I'm thinking of ordering as soon as possible, although I'm thinking of maybe trying some SFX like pimpin purple or wildflower.

Here is the result picture, it's indoors with flash so you can't really see but it's basically violet at the root going into a faded violet and finally turquoise (undiluted) on the ends. Bear in mind my camera makes everything look warmer and more yellowy even after adjusting the colours on photobooth. Also excuse my goofy expression/lack of make-up/glasses.

And a shot from the back in case someone's curious:

Seriously turquoise takes like a complete mofo, I had so many different colours in there, from pale blonde, to white, to grey, to gingery blonde, to purple. And it looks completely even. I'm almost tempted to do my whole hair with it, except I have this stupid oral exam at the end of February I need to look vaguely academic for...

Funny fact, my last name is actually turquoise... Kinda, it's spelt without the e. Now I get to embrace it with my hair teeheehee.

:O this makes me very happy that it covered so well, almost as happy as hearing your last name is turquoise without the e! πŸ˜€
