Pretty Pebbles! πŸ˜‰

I use New image cutting comb by Sally's to hold mine at the bottom. it is basically a comb with a rubber gripper to help squeeze the hair.  So you can hold your hair at different angles too.

I really wanted the CreaClip & wondered if I could get similar results by using a banana Clip to spread the hair out as it isn't sold in stores πŸ˜€

If you were cutting longer hair, would the shortest layers be longer than you ended up with here?

They would appeare a bit lower and more close to each other (at least that's how it appears on my hair - it's halfway between my bra and waist).
If you want to make more layers, after you do the technique that the lovely hanloveshair showed, you can seperate the lower part of your (half or so, depending where you want the layers to start) and you simply do the same method with the rest UPPER half of your hair. (I hope i make sence)
In that way you create more layers on the upper part of your hair).
Give it a try by cutting as less as possible the first time for test to see if you like it and if you have curly hair (like i do) make SURE you streighten it first, otherwise you might have messed up results.
I hope i helped somehow πŸ™‚

sunny girl is exactly right. cant stress enough though take hair off little by little to end up with a good finish. even going slowly this wouldn't take more than 20mins.

I do this too! but it leave it blunt and have longer layers so the shortest layer is past my ears. πŸ˜€ I never go to a hairdresser now. I've been doing it for about 18 months. I also cut the longest ends to neaten it up by putting it in a low pony tail, pull the band down close to the ends and snip off about an inch then I put it into low piggy tails and do the same again with my head tilted a little bit back to get a slight U shape. (hope that made sense ..eek) Great post!

I've cut my own hair for ages and I always get compliments on it. Hairdressers tend not to listen to what I want them to do haha πŸ™‚

I know the feeling about hairdressers not listening! Recently had the most awful fringe cut ever!
