I'm trying to find 40 long & extra wide curlformers, as cheap as possible! Ebay listings don't seem to state what type they are!

*anyone*

Go by the website. http://www.curlformers.com/ Different sizes are different colours so they're pretty easy to identify.

see I  tried that but still ended up getting confused, the colours are fairly similar/look different depending on lighting

ETA: I think these might be the extra wide version? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190709707532#ht_2708wt_1037

No, they're the medium. The extra wide are Dark pink and yellow. They're definitely the light pink and dark yellow/orange ones.

This looks like a fake set http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-8-EXTRA-LONG-SUPER-WIDE-Curlformers-2-Wide-Spiral-Curlers-XL-Hook-/261101665599?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccadf3d3f&_uhb=1#ht_2690wt_689 the curlers look fine, but the hook looks like a nightmare to use.

Otherwise, I can only see the medium ones. You probably won't get them all that cheap, if cheap at all. They're still new enough to not be sold second hand much yet.

From curlformer's official site:

These are the extra long and wide.  Pink and orange/dark yellow.

Real curlformer products have a grey hook with a grippy end.

Here's a set for 20 quid.   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Curlformers-Styling-Kit-40-Extra-Long-wide-spirals-Bag-Instructions-2-x-Hooks-/170914318432?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_HairCare_Rollers_Curlers&hash=item27cb498860

They are, but she's looking for the extra wide and long. The sizes are stupidly named. What I'm calling medium, is called wide (those you pictured) but they're the middle size.

I can't save and post a pic now, but this is the long and extra wide http://www.curlformers.com/starter-pack-long-extra-wide.htm

I know they don't look long, but the length is taken up in the spiral.

Ahh I had it backwards!  *headdesk*  I looked for extra long and wide instead of long and extra wide.

No more staying up until midnight for me when I have a six am start!  I see a few of the extra long and wide on ebay but no long and extra wide πŸ™  Same with amazon (both .co.uk and .com)

Although I did see the hook being sold on its own on amazon.com, so you could buy the ones Janine posted and get the actual hook separately if you wanted.

Yeah, I that was all I could find too. Couldn't even find the thin ones. Guess that's the most popular size. I have the thin ones and the middle ones, the middle ones are a nice size.

thanks ladies, I  emailed the seller of the ones I linked to, they say they are the "normal" ones, what ever that is!
I may well just buy the long and wide ones, I'm going to need atleast 40 so I refuse to pay the prices from curlformer themselves haha!

Janine, do you have a picture of the curls you get from the middle ones?

Actually, I don't! I might be using them later today or tomorrow though, so I'll try and remember to take one then.

Mind you, it's a little deceiving on me. My hair really holds on to curls and it's fairly short, so the first day curls are super curly.

mine goes super curly to start as well haha πŸ™‚ I just want an idea of how big the curls are πŸ™‚ although googling blog posts about them shows it can seriously vary

Ok, really shouldn't be doing this as I have so much to do! But ah well, I'll just work later tonight lol

Hopefully that helps! They're literally just out of the curlers, so at their curliest, apart from a bit of pulling down with my hands. I prefer it slightly looser, but it'll drop a bit tomorrow.
