How to get hair dye out of carpet??

(@TheSealion)

I accidentally spilled adore crimson on my blue carpet and there is a massive stain, is there any methods I could use to get it out??

Have you tried a carpet cleaner? Something like Vanish?
If not than Nail Varnish remove may possibly do it.

Call me crazy, but I'd try a really strong...[powder stuff you put in the washing machine which I don't even know the German word for or I'd look it up] or Head & Shoulders shampoo? If you can fade your dye with that, then you might be able to use it for removing stains, right?

Dr Beckmann's stain slayer is amazing. I got black perm hair dye out of pillow slips last week using it.

You can get it in Asda and Tesco

I know that nail varnish remover is great for stained surfaces, not so sure on carpet!
I have tons of stains on mine but I've never bothered trying to get rid of them since you can barely see the floor most the time anyway. πŸ˜›

I think Vanish or Oxy would work just fine to lift dye out of carpet--it's designed to remove stains πŸ˜€

Yes, nailpolish remover like Hazillian said! I spilled two huge blobs of Cerise on my carpet, but a little rub with a towel with nailpolish remover took them out. Plus, it didn't change the colour of my carpet.

But as this was posted a month ago I guess it's for future reference (and other motorically awkward people like me). πŸ™‚

Does anyone know how to get it off of Lino? We're moving house and I've just discovered my bathroom floor has random blobs of dye all over it. I tried scrubbing with bleach but it won't work.

Try mould remover spray for lino/grout/hard surfaces.  I'm not sure why, but it seems to work better than straight bleach.
