Barnet College does not know it's a**e from it's elbow!

I online booked a photography course back in Feb which was starting today.

So, I checked the weekend before last what day it started and I was a bit confused and thought I'd got the dates all wrong when I read that it said "non-starter" when I logged in. To make it more complicated, I'd found it really hard to log in, but found I could when I tried to enrol for another course, so I'd been thinking about doing a jewellery course and signed up for one that starts this thursday. Tried to pay for it, but it wouldn't go through. That is when I saw the non-starter thing.

So, Monday morning, I rang the college, they didn't really have a clue what I was talking about for a while. Finally the penny dropped, they checked my status on the photog course and it said I hadn't paid. Well that was rubbish as I had the payment gone out in my bank.

Tuesday I went in, had to go through the whole thing again. The woman at the desk got it all wrong, so when she took me to the cashiers office she made it even more complicated by explaining it all wrong. Finally she left and I could explain yet again. Finally got enrolled on that course, but they couldn't work out if I'd paid for the other course, even though I knew I hadn't as it didn't go through properly, I had to wait until it didn't clear. Sigh.

So I went to ask someone else where I actually have to go for the course and they confusingly told me to go to security. I walked up to them and the receptionist said, "ID?". So I thought she was asking me for ID. No, it's just that this college you have to have an ID card but it threw me as none of the colleges I've been to before have required that. Probably because I was on campuses that were small art wings. Anyway, that then took 3 days and 4 visits to sort out!!

So, I went late this afternoon to the college, asked where to go and was taken by the new security guy to the room. No one was there.... it was 10 mins before class... So I went to the toilet. Got back and it was practically time for it and still no one there... Went back down to reception and to check again and after about 10 mins of them not really helping me, I finally said, "fine, shall I just go and knock on doors to see where it is then?". The receptionist finally said she'd check to see if it had been cancelled. I was shocked at that and said, surely someone should have let me know when I paid, or something and they said no, it could have been cancelled yesterday! Low and behold it was bloody cancelled!

It's bloody good that this college is a 7 min walk from my house and on my post office run route or I would have had steam coming out of my ears.

It turns out that there is another course on Thurs and it happens to be after the jewellery course I'm signed up for, neither of which are cancelled so far... so I'm going to see if they can just put the payment from today's onto Thursdays. It's better on the same day too really, but it's still very irritating no one told me. I was the only person enrolled, so how hard is it to call me or email me? They had both.

Janine, that's ludicrous!!!  How can you run a college that way?  For crying out loud.  :/  I hope you get it sorted and can start in the Thursday class instead.  It's completely unacceptable that no one contacted you to let you know it was cancelled.  🙁

I don't have much to moan about really and I feel bad for doing so considering how a lot of you are having trouble with jobs and such. I'm pretty sure I have a caffeine allergy and I went into an awful episode today after drinking a cup of coffee. I felt like I was having a heart attack and I was shaking quite badly amongst other symptoms. I still have a terrible headache now but I'm feeling better, needless to say I'll be going to the doctors and I'm not drinking anything with caffeine again, which will be very hard for me! It happens in different degrees of severity wether I drink a cup of tea or a can of dr pepper. It's never been as bad as it were today though, I was close to calling an ambulance but I hate anything like that. I don't think it's coincidence and I run up to 5 miles a day so I'm otherwise fit, I'll have to see what the doctor says I guess.

Sorry to hear about your reaction today, Bitzy.  That had to be scary, and a huge downer if you can't have caffeine.  🙁  Hope you get it sorted!

Janine, that's horrible!  The payment thing I've been through before with my uni in the states, but to cancel a class the day before and just not tell you?!

And Bitzy, I'm so sorry that that happened to you.  I stopped drinking caffiene around a year and a half ago for numerous reasons, chiefly among them was that I seem to be hypersensitive to it and get really jumpy, feel nauseated, get stomachaches and I can't sleep when I have it.  Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I have exactly the same problem. I started having bad panic attacks when drinking energy drinks, shaking and having palpitations. Turned out it was a caffeine intolerance. I find that eating a lot first and drinking really slowly over a long period of time really helps.

I need to have some kind of creative outlet but I just can't find one I like which is accessable to me! Argh! 🙁 So frustrating.
None of my photos are turning out right, I think I got rusty since I was last able to use my camera, and all I want to do is dance or something but there's just no space or privacy for it!
I can't be bothered anymore. I just want to curl up and nap.

Since Monday I've been covering in my local shop as they are short staffed this week (holidays booked and then I got a promotion and moved shop..oops haha). I thought it would be great as I wouldn't have needed to drive there and back etc as its just a short walk in.
Well it's been like the worst 3 days ever. People have just been moaning at me non stop, asking me questions about conversations THEY have had with apple...I'm honest and say "I don't know..." And just as I'm about to go on to say "...but I can find out possibly" they cut me off and say YOURE QUICK ENOUGH TO SELL US THE PHONE AREN'T YOU BUT YOURE NO HELP. I've had to restrain myself twice today majorly from telling people to fuck off. BLOODY CUSTOMERS haha.
On the plus side, I have two days off and I'm going to dye my hair, this will cheer me up I'm sure as I have no money but all the things for it so I don't need to wait til payday! Which by the way can bloody hurry up when it's ready!!

Oh yeah. I got some meal shakes from superdrug today and they taste RUBBISH but I suppose they would because they are diety and boring. I need some of modifiedmommas fudge cake to cheer me up!!! 😀

I've been really ill all day today 🙁 all drowsy and feeling sick. Feeling better now that I've had a nap and a shower tho!

my moan is so petty. ryan & I only get thurs & Fri off together.  his friend came over today to make music (its techno, qhich im really not a fan of) hw sprung this on me yesterday.  I was kinda annoyed, but got over it. he then turned up 2 hours early & is still here.  so there's music I don't enjoy playing all day, a partner I miss & a REALLY smelly friend in our bedroom. nag champa burnt constantly doesn't cover the smell & our window is painted shut. so I get to have a drunk OH & stinky room tonight. I'm so annoyed,  that I haven't even eaten.  I'm being so petty that im just getting more annoyed at myself.  I should be pleased he's having fun & doing what he lovea. but thurs is chilling drinking wine & 2 broke girls night ; (
