They should give you your money back! They're technically faulty, you wouldnt, say, buy a camera, use it and see that it doesnt take photos, take it back to the shop and have them say 'well, you've used it so sorry, no refund.

They should give you a refund! If not, try getting back via how you paid (paypal or something?) under the fact they are not as described

Oh and janine! Quick way of getting rid of coldsores, tea tree oil (this stuff is a godsend!) just drip some onto a cotton bud and dab on the cold sore, gets rid of mine almost over night!

yeah they do look like a synth mix. i think its a high quality mix though as i whacked up my straighteners and did them slowly to see if they melted at all but they didnt. and yes i agree they should give me a refund! i bought them just on my visa card. if they say no im deffo going to call trading standards. Youd think they would be ok about it as if it was my business id be worried about the origins of that specific batch. Also with the popularity of youtube and bloggers it would be easy to have your companys name tarnished! im guessing that a lot of you guys would stay away from them now !

Amy, you know what when I started getting cold sores, I was told about that and tried it. For some reason on me it does bugger all but sting for hours lol

I'll have a moan about how I first got cold sores though! It was when I was 27. I'd never been out of the country before. Sounds weird I know, but we couldn't afford foreign hold when I was a kid (it was the 70s! package hols were still kind of in their infancy) but also because my mum was too ill with OCD. So we went to Portugal.

Nice enough holiday.

But then on the day we were due to fly home I started to get this huge spot on my chin, to the bottom right of my lip. I'd never had a mosquito bite before, so I thought that was what it was! Several days later back at home, I eventually went to a pharmacist to see if they could give me something to calm it down and he told me it was a cold sore!

I'd never had one before, my boyfriend had never had them ever, no one in my family ever got them and I hadn't been snogging anyone else! Then I found out you can get them through cutlery and glasses that haven't been washed properly. Sigh. Trust me to get cold sores without even having naughty fun! lol

Meeshy, have you tried trimming some and burning it? You'd be able to tell beyond doubt then from the smell! burning hair smell and it's hair and quite obviously, burning plastic and it's synthetic! Also, if it balls up at the end it's synthetic.

I got REALLY upset when the bf took the hair out of my hairbrush then burnt it haha. I really didn't like the thought that I was smelling something from my body burning, I dunno, I just actually felt ill and didn't speak to him for like, an hour

I'm dreading having to bleach my own roots when I'm over there! I've never done them myself before, always got somebody else to do it.

I think I'm getting worse at dying my own hair. I don't seem to be coating all the hairs evenly anymore. Luckily it doesn't look too bad, well from what I can see, I've not inspected the back!

Haha if you moved to Toronto we'd both have our problems solved!

Usually I have the bf check but he's rubbish, he just says "everything looks like it's got stuff on it" but then totally doesn't take into account that that "stuff" could just be the coconut oil. I always have dark bits at the back and it looks rubbish.

I also wonder if it's the products that I'm using that just don't like my hair. I bought a big bucket of bleach and some 30 vol developer from a beauty supply store, thinking it doesn't matter what brand of bleach/dev I use, wanted to save some cash...unfortunately I think I'm wrong!

Meeshy - if you bought them on a Visa credit card, then the Visa people can help you, as all purchases on a credit card are covered by the credit card people, and they could refund you themselves if you don't get any luck with the company itself.  If it was a debit card, then probably not. 🙁

No it was a visa debit. This is another reason why I'm getting a credit card though, for booking holidays etc more securely!

sigh.. my attempt at pastel hair failed again, a good 8 inches worked fine, but the tips were still to yellow to take the colour 🙁 had to whack a darker purple on the top cause i have to go out tomorrow, and even that came out crappy looking. all that fading and dying was for nothing!

I think I've caught Lee's cold now 🙁

UGHHH got this reply from the email I sent asking for advice before I sent the complaint...
did you re-pigment the hair first? that is to over lay the hair with the red pigment removed then over lay with the colour The point is this hair comes from different donors and to go from blonde to purple you will get different porosities in the weft this does happen quite often with people colouring the hair as they do not re-pigment the hair first This hair is very dark to start with and is bleached up - which removes the brown pigment , the yellow pigmnet and the red - these all have to be replaced to change the colour - some hairs are more resistant to colouring due to the nature of the hair This hair is not all from the same person some people have success in colouring them some dont personally i would never try to dye a bleach blonde hair down to a purple - in the fact that the hair is alreay highly processed - it is sealed with a sealnt to make it feel shiny and to sterlise it - i really think to run a peroxide wash through this hair you will swell it and ruin it you may have been better buying a darker colour to start with rather than to do it from a bleach blonde i hope this helps you choose

(i have in the past run a crazy colour through - then oover laid it with a semi ) but some human hair just doesnt colour especially if its grey hair which is more resistant i hope this helps you Lesley

is it me or has she not got a fucking clue? Even if I regimented it wouldn't take!!

I feel so torn and selfish right now. I've posted before that my boyfriend came to visit me, it was supposed to be for 2 weeks but ended up only being 5 days because he got called for a job interview.

the interview is like a trial thing, where he works for a few days to see how he does. He did the interview thing and on the last day he was asked to come in this week (yesterday) and we were hoping that he would have an answer to whether he could come back. He found out that the guy wants him to work all week and he'll find out if he's got the job next week. So he can't come back here right now. It's looking like he's going to get it so that means he won't be able to come back for ages. 🙁

I'm so happy that it's going well for him, he wants it so much and he deserves it. But at the same time, I just want him back here with me to finish our time off together. I miss him so much, we don't get to see each other often.

on the plus side I can visit him if he gets the job, but that means not seeing him much and staying in a strange place where I know no-one. That makes me really anxious.
