There's a strong chance I could be moving in the next month but its just a waiting game and its bugging me because I don't know whether to do a bit of packing/start sorting things or what because I'm not sure whether I can actually go or not.

Also when I'm stressed I get a million mouth ulcers and all my taste buds flare up so I can't eat/drink anything of flavour and I talk with a lisp and it hurts like mad - tres annoying

Just read the most ridiculous discussion on Facebook between two people. Full of conspiracy theories on GM food, population control, over production of meat and fluoride. I wanted to argue almost every point, but they would have just called me a sheep because "I believe all the crap the government lies about" as they already had with someone else. I don't believe everything the government says. I weigh up evidence from scientists and other experts. And no, most scientists AREN'T "got to" by the government.

Maybe people here disagree with me too, but I expect that and it's fine. It's just irritating when people mock you for for something you don't do to "win" their argument.

I also wish I could learn to spell ridiculous without having to look it up everytime!

I used to have a lodger at my family home who was full of conspiracies - but he'd just latch on to something as soon as he found it, no further research etc, so there were times when I went to google something he talked about and everywhere knew it was a hoax. It's so frustrating, but I tend to let it drop. He also mentioned the fluoride in the water being used to calm everyone down so we didn't revolt.

I also can't spell ridiculous 🙁

My husband hasn't answered an email all day. I get really paranoid about this sort of thing after a couple of things* and am doing my head in worrying about him. Is he broken or unconscious or worse at home and can't get help? Did he keel over on the way to work and is in hospital? Has he been sacked and is drowning his sorrows in the pub?

Or is he just in a really long meeting?

:frets:

*My mother's husband dropped dead on the kitchen floor of a brain haemorrhage, and my friend woke up to find her boyfriend dead in the bed next to her - he'd died in his sleep of the adult version of cot death

OH thank god he has just emailed me. He's taken the day off sick (he has arthritis and his hips are bad at the moment) but his phone is playing up so he coulnd't contact me :phew:

Mouse, I hope your health improves soon and you get the support you need! Sending some hugs your way!

My moan - bloody car is just constantly costing us money!  We bought it at the end of November, and because we got hammered on the insurance, there was no money left for any Xmas presents.  We had to pay for the MOT last month, and now we need to put 4 new tyres on it asap (which was highlighted in the MOT - didn't fail, but it was an 'advisory' - however, my husband told me it could wait a few months, now he's telling me today that it needs to be done asap, and within the next couple of weeks!) so now we need to spend £250 on new tyres.  Which means that I also won't get a birthday present this year.  Damn thing just seems to be eating money!

I think the hairdresser I went to today is blind! I have naturally curly hair and chose a style that would imo look good and take my hair into account. hubby liked it too and even the hairdresser said it would suit me. the end result? I looked like a poodle! It looked nothing like the picture I brought that was staring at him all the long and have now that I am home done what I usually do and scraped it all back into a ponytail, the only difference being that it is a shorter one. Trust me to find a hairdresser that has a thing about natural curls! He should try living with the bleeping things!

What?! Pippa, that's ridiculous! What reason do they give?

I better not have that problem when I move, with selling online I'd be driven insane trying to do it all on my phone. Though I can probably tether my mobile etc, it'll never be the same 🙁

I'm getting a little depressed waiting to move. I've not had a move I've needed to make so badly for a long time.

I'm feeling a little bit miffed, I've been training with my roller derby team for about 7 months now and I'm just approaching passing my min skills (literally will do it on Tuesday). My team have a bout coming up on the 10th and for ages the coaching team/committee have been giving the impression that they're leaving open two spaces in the line up for newly passed fresh meat - which they generally mean me and two others.

They just announced the line up, with none of the newly passed/about to pass fresh meat on it. I'm not miffed that I'm not on the team, that's fair if they don't feel I'm good enough, I'm miffed that they'd string us along like we have a chance. I get that they don't want to hurt people and want to be all nicey nicey but if they hadn't mentioned that they were going to save to spaces etc I wouldn't have had any expectations.

Also, they've got one girl skating who fell and fractured her jaw in december and it's still not right, she got a shoulder in the face in practice on Friday and had to sit out. I don't think a jaw will heal by the 10th of March and again it's another time where they're too worried about not being everyone's friend. She could get lasting damage or prolong healing time! If she gets shouldered in face during the bout and has to come off track she's leaving that section of the game vulnerable for the team to lose points because you can't replace her until the 3 minutes are over.

And their three criteria for choosing is blatantly nonsense too, they say they do it on Ability, Attendance and Attitude but there's three skaters that haven't really been present at all (and won't be present in the training on the build up) but because they've come from better teams they've instantly thrown them in there. Again I'm not grouchy because I didn't get a place, I'm grouchy because they made such a song and dance about the three As and then didn't stick to it. It'd be better if they said nothing and just announced the teams because this is what I would've expected if they hadn't said those things.
