My moan is that my ex-husband has applied for a court order to stop my children moving with me, even though they have told him it's what they want. I have NO money and cannot afford to fight him in court. I'm going to have to leave them behind, I feel like my heart is breaking into a million pieces 🙁

This is the most ridiculous moan ever: we're cutting tiles for our kitchen so the house is covered in slate dust. It's really nasty stuff and it coats my hair and makes it feel awful, really dry and fragile (even before I bleached the dust buggered my hair up). It'll be fine with a good wash and deep condition but there's no point doing that until the tiling's finished, so yucky hair ahead for a couple more days 🙁

Back in August I bought a new laptop from an online catalogue company that I've used before and had no trouble with. Anyway, a few weeks ago it just suddenly went faulty, so I contacted them and they send they'd send a courier to pick it up within 7 days and they'd either replace or refund. Well it took their courier nearly 2 weeks to come and get it, and now the company are saying I can't have a replacement right away, I need to either wait for a refund, and then buy again, or just purchase one again now if I need it straight away... That makes no sense to me, I don't understand why they can't just send a replacement...

Wait for the refund and buy somewhere else.

yeah thats what im going to do! They're now saying i need to wait a month for a refund which sucks. Going to get one from a shop so if theres ever any problem again, i can go directly there!

Total chest area is covered in dressings, I've already seen a plastic surgeon to assess the damage and have to go to the burns unit on monday. I'm dying for a shower that I won't be able to have for god knows how long and all for a bloody cup of tea!

Wow, that's not very ethical and I wonder if it's even legal. I guess it could be something else holding it up... but it makes me wonder if they're having cash flow problems. Be careful.

Edit: I just spoke to Lee about this, ok, so neither of us are experts... but it really does sound like a company that's about to disappear by going bankrupt or something. That happens and I think you'd be out of a laptop and your money. Might be worth consulting someone or trying to demand your money back now.

I hope it gets better soon! (I have to admit, this makes me glad I don't drink tea much and when I do, I don't touch it till it's luke warm!)

eeep! I've sent them about 3 emails today asking exactly why they need to hold my money and cant just replace or refund but now they wont answer :/

Being saturday, I'm not that surprised they're not answering now, if they don't reply by Monday it's worth trying another path. At the moment I'm not sure what that would be. Have to have think!

Yeah, I actually just came back to say that. You might be able to get your credit card company to refund if they won't.

urgh no 🙁 I used their credit system, and ive already paid some of it off.
I've contacted them via twitter & phone, apparently it's a case of at the latest of a month is when I'll get a refund, but it can be much much sooner. Apparently the person who emailed me saying a month was just sort of rushing through replying and didnt explain. So fingers crossed!

luckily my husband has offered to buy me a laptop in the sales in currys! Once I get that refund I shant be buying from them again!

Ok, that's not so worrying if it's through the credit system 🙂 It's probably just a stupid rule they have to stop people returning things thinking they'll get their money back right away. I think it should be ok. I didn't even think about it being that, sorry to panic you! lol

get complained at cause the back of 2 plates were 'dirty' - they had like a few specs of like crap that's in the dishwasher from the previous plates that i just wipe off cause the plates are clean, but no i get "oh phoebe check your plates these are filthy *sigh*" "cmon phoebe watch what you're doing" but the funny thing is, the girl that seems to be potwashing aside from waitressing and bar was the one to put those plates though (god knows why when she was waitressing tonight.....) anyway and also she keeps trying to tell me how to do stuff, like, i always have to potwash on 2 minute rounds cause it cleans em good but doesn't take forever and she always just walks over and changes it, and if i see her she just smiles and says "oh it gets them done quicker on one minute" but they don't get fu*g cleaned properly on 1 minute UGH just leave my s alone. she also sighs when i stack these bowls on the bottom shelf when the top shelf is full so i keep doing that muehe.
ALSO. she was covering the other potwasher's shift tomorrow, but she's been faking this lost voice allllll freaking evening and she goes to the assistant boss (who actually bums over her it's weird he favorites her) and she says "oh i don't think i can do the shift tomorrow i asked phoebe but she says she doesn't know if she can cover" so the boss guy goes "oh phoebe you're not working tomorrow?" *i shake my head* he says "oh well you're covering then" um, no. i made up some half bull half truth excuse as to why i can't cover (i said i haven't been home in a week [which i haven't] and that my mum wants to see me [which she does] but another reason is because she's faking and he just assumes i'll cover her shift when it aint even her shift in the first place) OH and i told them 7 times now that i can't work thursdays cause of college. they rota me in to work next thursday. HOW MANY EFFING TIMES? i'm loosing shifts too because if i say i can't work it they just take it off the rota and not swap with another day ugh!!!!!

and last but not least *audience sighs with relief*, i have the most immense back ache known to man, had the hiccups for near enough 7 hours and stomach cramps.
AND ive lost my other chest dermal.
