My uncle suddenly passed away from leukemia.  He was just diagnosed and I hadn't even heard he was sick yet. I feel so terrible for his wife and children, what a devistatingly aweful Christmas this will be.

Didn't get invited to any thing for hogmany/new year even though most of my friends were doing something for it. Luckily I don't really celebrate it but still felt a bit left out and neglected none the less.

Gemz, I'm sorry to hear that!  It can be a bit overrated anyway, and as you don't celebrate it normally, feel good that you probably woke up feeling better today than your friends who are probably suffering a bit and wish they didn't do anything either!

Must have a good rant myself -r- ... my dye is STILL not here, and I've been patiently, patiently waiting.  Probably holiday delays and weather delays - but I'm losing respect for the UK postal service, I could swear they used to be MUCH quicker.

It almost makes me lose the excitement to try it, waiting for what seems like forever.

I ordered some make up from mua on boxing day, still hasn't arrived, emailed and got no response. I knew it could take longer due to holidays bit I at least expect an email response!

I ordered an in stock wig from geisha wigs on the 20 th of december and it hasn't even been dispatched yet. #joke. I'll be more likely to use ebay now like some if the ladies on here suggested. Its a shame because I had the same problem with my first wig I ordered, but thought I'd give them another go.

I ordered some make up from mua on boxing day, still hasn't arrived, emailed and got no response. I knew it could take longer due to holidays bit I at least expect an email response!

They might not be properly back at work yet, in the office at least. When I worked for a children's wear factory also did direct catalogue sales. The whole place was shut for two weeks for Christmas. Factory, dispatch and offices!

But yeah, post at this time of year does take longer. They normally have a backlog of post that didn't get there before Christmas to deal with and stuff gets caught up in that.

Really, really, really tired of this polar vortex and it's snow and temps, for real. It's -6f now but with windchills of -30 to -40. Jake and I have shoveled so much snow, the piles of it along the driveway leading to the house are literally taller than I am. I feel like I live in Alaska or at the Arctic Circle. My body doesn't even want to let me breathe outside, I have to force myself to.

Super annoyed ): I was told that as I'm not customer facing, I can do what I want with my appearance. Done my hair pink and boom! "You might want to think about toning your hair down." -.- I feel like I can't have a rewarding career with my hair whatever colour I want because people are too small minded to look past a hair colour.

That's really ridiculous, Zaralily.  Why the heck did they tell you differently beforehand!?  If you don't have to deal directly with customers, it really shouldn't matter, and it's so irritating, as you say, people cannot look past a hair colour.  I say just don't change anything yet, hee hee, see if they say anything more... you can say you 'thought' about it!

Katie, my goodness, how you describe what it feels like walking outside, I just cannot imagine.  It's mild here but the windchill factor lowers the temperature of course, so I've been wearing two outer layers this year to keep warm.  But we've got NOTHING to complain about because we're just about reaching two digits Celsius during the day which is very mild for this time of year.

I know, Alexia. It makes no sense at all. We have a formal dress code which I adhere to and there's no mention of your choice of hair colour anywhere. They can't discipline me for my hair colour, it doesn't affect my job, they are pro-union so I don't see any issues, I just want to play ball so I can progress because it will be people who stop me progressing not my hair colour. So unless I find something I'm good at where I can have my hair whatever colour I want then I have to be slightly more "normal" sadly.
