Coming on here usually, usually, makes me feel better and takes my mind off my stresses/worries/depression for a while. It gives me something to think about that makes me happy and distracts me from everything.

Same with me, this forum does take my mind off other stresses, and hair is so much of an interest to me that it's so great to hear, and see, others' adventures and experience them as well.

...

I love seeing your adventures and so on, but I don't feel comfortable or confident giving advice like I once did (before my long absence). Doing my own hair has become less enjoyable as I doubt what I know and now that I overthink it my results aren't as good as when I thought 'we'll see what it does' and just bunged on whichever semis I fancied.

...

Would like to add hugs for everyone else too.

RandomWickedness, you probably to have lots of experience to share here, so don't underestimate yourself.  But I do completely understand when something that used to give you so much happiness and joy just doesn't 'do it' for you anymore.  I'm sure that phase will pass... and I hope the mopeys pass soon too.

Here, you have a hug too... O 🙂

Thanks ladies.
It's so nice to know I'm not alone.
Think the crisis is made worse by my impending 28th in a couple of weeks. Feel like I'm a bit old to have nothing and the hole I'm trying to drag myself out of just seems to get deeper.

Pippa's wedding pics made me smile and seeing your happys is cheering too.

Glad you lot are here.

Aw, I hope you feel better soon! My kids and Jake are all sick and it feels like my body has been trying to fight it off for the past week. It's like, come on, just get better or get sick and get it over with already lol.

🙁  boy do I remember those days!  I was ill all day long from beginning to end with both of my pregnancies.  Dill helps sooth a poorly tummy (think dill pickles, lol), as does ginger.  You can try sips of ginger ale or make some ginger root tea (google search, it's super simple.  Add some honey and sip).  Small frequent meals also help.  Having just a bit of food in your tummy sometimes helps with the constant nausea.  Keep some soda crackers by your bedside and have one or two before your feet hit the floor in the morning.  *hugs*

I was the same way with both of my pregnancies too. I never got why they call it "morning" sickness...more like "all the damn time" sickness lol. It was awful. Whole wheat cinnamon raison bread toast used to help ease my nausea too. Also, I always had a bad taste in my mouth no matter what I did or didn't do while I was pregnant, and as soon as my baby was born, it went away. So that used to make me feel even more nauseous. What actually helped me a lot was gargling with salt water. Even if I didn't have the bad taste in my mouth and I just felt nauseous, I would do that and it would make me feel better for a while.

Broke my wall mirror which took a chunk of the wall with it, also tried to do Christmas shopping today but couldn't find anything I wanted to get for people. Just feel like a want a big cuddle but no such luck there either. (Ok the cat did just come give me a bit of a hug but then he got over excited and tried to attack my hand.)

Oh please don't say that! I was hoping it would ease up soon and another 7 months would not be soon haha. I feel a little better today but I think thats more cuse I jolted myself out of bed due to the pesky little ferrets scratching away reminding me it's breakfast time.

It definitely is all the damn time, luckily my manager had a very sickly wife in early pregnancy so he's really supportive of my many runs to the bathroom through the day and has said I can go home if needs be, but I'm trying to avoid that as I have a weeks holiday before Christmas yet. I just sit at work, munching ginger nut biscuits, drinking water, eating toast and feeling bleurgh.

That's awesome your manager is understanding. When I was pregnant with my first, I worked at Joanne Fabrics, a big fabric store chain here in the states. Obviously, I had to go to the restroom a lot, you understand! But my manager, who has full grown kids, threw a complete nasty fit over it! I had walked in, went to the restroom, clocked in, then had to go to the restroom again and figured I should just go then and not hold it and have to go in the middle of a rush, so I went and she had a hissy fit over it! I mean, you can't help it, when you're pregnant, you gotta go when you gotta go! lol. I wasn't going to be able to work much longer anyway becaue it was very late in my pregnancy, so I just took advantage of it and quit then and there, giving her a piece of my mind while doing it! lol

Exo about your eyelid, this happened to me last month and I used a warm teabag on my eyelid to help it. Hope it heals fast (what a pain!)

I saw a doctor about it this afternoon and he said it was a stye and to do warm compresses. I'll try the teabag, thank you. 🙂
