Have A Good Old Moan....

This is going to sound really weird...I used to have 2 pidgeons that live on my bathroom window sill(Getrude & Fredrick) I always talk to them & they always watch me pee. We're mates. Fredrick has been missing for weeks, which makes me feel bad for Gertie. Plus i saw today Gerts only has 1 leg now. I swear she used to have 2(since i've known her from Feb this year). I feel really guilty, even though it's not my fault =( I'm going to feed her tonight. Poor lil pidgeon ='(

Aw, hope Gertie birdy is safe & no predators are around! I had Doves nest in a bar table I had on the deck each year. The Babies were so sweet to watch grow. Then I gave the table to my friends Dad, that year he had Love Doves nest on his wreath on the door... Too Sweet! 😉  I talk to all creatures 🙂 Cicadas, Praying Mantis (save them from getting biked or walked on) & love animals!

I really, really hate it when I happen to wear a top that tones or matches my hair colour and everyone but EVERYONE says, "Ooooh aren't you co-ordinated?" No one ever used to say it when I wore a black top and had black hair. I'm not co-ordinated, I just happen to be wearing a pink top and I have pink hair. BFD! Bugger off!

I hate my cat so much right now. She attacked my budgie earlier, knocked him and his cage on the floor so he escaped and then she caught him. His wing is bleeding a little now and he's quieter than usual.

Exo, ring the courier service and give them explicit directions to your house.  Do it this morning so they can message the driver and let him know.  Also, ask them to give the driver your mobile number and tell him to ring you if he needs further instruction.

If the driver once again check addresses it after all of that, demand to speak to a manger (you're better off ringing the depot direct instead of going through CS) and explain that you have done absolutely everything you can to get this driver to your house and there's no reason why he should have check addressed it.  Do this the minute the check address status appears online--they can ring the driver and tell him to go back and get it sorted.

It's disgusting that they didn't ask for directions and a contact number after you confirmed the address in the system was correct.  What company is it, if you don't mind me asking?

thanks, Intemp. I actually did most of that the first day it happened. I called them the first day when I noticed it said they couldn't find the house and told them certain things to look out for near my house but they did the exact same thing the day after that. I even have a bloody sign on my drive way with my house name on it too, so I have no idea how they missed that, twice! So once again, I called them and the guy on the phone was just as stumped as me, couldn't understand why the bloke couldn't find my house again. He told me I would definitely get my package the next day.

anyway, yesterday morning I called them just to make sure it was definitely coming, they had written down the things I had told them and they told me that the guy who had been delivering the last two days wasn't a regular, they thought that he wasn't even trying and he couldn't be bothered to deliver some packages and that a regular who knew the area would be delivering it today. It finally showed up, with the box beaten up and broken.

the company is TNT.

Long story short my hair is back to red again because it's the colour I'm happiest with. My old manager loved it being red and had no problem with it. The deputy manager is now manager and she has taken up serious issue with my hair colour and the fact that I have a lot of tattoos (which I cover up) and has spent months basically bullying me to the point I come home in tears most nights -pathetic I know.

She found out I put in complaints about her and today she threatened to fire me unless I dye my hair Brown and also put me up on internal disciplinary for apparently not respecting her :/ dunno what to do and no one seems to understand that constantly having a go about my hair style or colour etc is making me feel absolutely awful.

No idea where to go with my complaint because her boss basically said she'd rather see me fired than her.

Rant over lol.

Just read what I typed I actually cannot believe I'm working for a company that allows that type of treatment to go on.

Ahh I work for TNT.  Since you're in Wales, I'm guessing the depot was Llantrisant or Swansea.  They're normally pretty decent depots, so I'm really sorry that you had such a terrible experience with them.  I know for a fact the depot manager for those two depots would have gone absolutely apeshit at any driver, subby or otherwise, just not attempting deliveries.  Try to take some comfort in the fact that if the subby was crap and avoiding deliveries, we probably will never use him again.  Sorry about the box, too.  Sometimes they fall off the belts and get a bit dented, or some numpty loads a van badly and they get knocked in to.

Pro tip:  If you have a damaged box, ALWAYS write "damaged" when signing for the goods or insist the driver POD it with a damage code.  That way, if the item is damaged then you can claim.  If you don't, then they might reject your claim based on the fact that it's assumed signed for in good condition.

I'm so sorry about this.  It's pathetic that your new manager is bullying you about your appearance.  Have a look at your work's dress code policies.  Is there anything in there about natural hair colour or saying that you must maintain a professional appearance?  If so, then unfortunately you have to do what she says or risk losing your job.  Even your grievance/complaint could be seen as invalid because if she's asking you to change your appearance and your appearance is not in line with company policy, then unfortunately, legally, she can continue to insist you change it.

If there's nothing in there about natural hair colours or a professional appearance, then you have a leg to stand on.  Otherwise, as much as it sucks, you need to either comply to her demands or find another job.

I'm so fed up of feeling sick, if it came with good news I wouldn't mind but its been a month now and it's just not easing up, ridiculous :'(

my laptop is on its last legs 🙁 I love my lil netbook, will be genuinely gutted when it dyes. I've had it for 4years though.

I have a cold, and I've now completely lost my voice. My kids think its great!

I'm in such a strop with my hair today, I don't like it this short and it keeps teasing me with my darker roots but I swear it's still the same length. I just want to stay in bed under a pillow till it's at least at shoulder length so it's a LITTLE bit more flattering!! waahhhh!!
