Have A Good Old Moan....

constant drilling and hammering in our street again! It's not our next door neighbours(this time), but two doors down. But it's so loud we can hear it clearly in our house. It's constant, and has been for months 🙁 And tonight yet again they've started drilling at nearly 9pm. I can't complain cause that's not seen as "too late" for DIY, and I don't think I can complain at them cause I don;t think they'd stop to be honest. Plus I don't want to be seen as a nagging neighbour, because their next door neighbours arent complaining... Just hoping this means they'll be finished for good soon...

Nearly got hit by a lorry driver going in to the Aldi warehouse by my work.  Seriously, we were about 10cm away from being in a really bad collision and had to stop on the roundabout because the jerk didn't even slow down.

I filed a report against him with the Aldi transport team and we will be going down to the police station to file a dangerous driving report.  I've been told that he will be barred from site with Aldi and I don't think many reputable companies will want to hire a lorry driver with a dangerous driving mark on his record.

Thanks Glitter.  At first I was so angry it didn't really sink in how close we were to being in a bad accident, but as the morning's gone on it's really hit home how close it was.

I've spoken to our local police station and they said that because we have the plate number, there's two of us as witnesses (though we don't have an independent witness), because it was a lorry driver and there's now a paper trail at the Aldi warehouse regarding the incident, we have a pretty good case and they would be likely to investigate it further and possibly pursue an arrest, so that's an even better result than we'd hoped for.

And since the jerk took the time to laugh at us and give us the finger, I have a description of him as well as his vehicle.

Oh my god why would he laugh at you and do that, after nearly causing you to crash, what a terrible person 🙁 hope the police can help you out x

I've been talking to my brazillian friend and hes been saying about how badly Brazil is doing because of the world cup and the olympics, and all the protests that have been going on. The government are prioritising absolutely everything wrong and it's just making me sad that some countries have such awful leaders who are just  ruining their country from the inside out.

I was cutting frozen strawberries and filleted my fingertip.  I thought I was going to have to go to A&E for stitches, but it seems to be under control (touch wood).  It looks pretty gruesome and hurts like a bitch!

Yes, absolutely if she's not a good girlfriend for him and they have a toxic relationship and you want him to meet someone who truly makes him happy, but I'd want to explore the reason why I felt that way if it was me...are you sad because you want to be with him?

Its for a number of reasons.. I do genuinely think he would be happier out of the relationship, though not necessarily in a new one. On a more selfish note, I don't think I want to be with him romantically but when he was with her I never got to spend any time with him because all free time was then family time. I feel a bit selfish :/

If he would be happier out of the relationship unfortunately I think you're just going to have to let him make his own mistakes - he will realise soon enough that he's not happy. You could always talk to him about it - tell him you're worried that you might not see him as much? But be careful, if he genuinely loves her and you're too negative about the relationship to him it could just push him away anyway. One of you was always going to meet someone first, which of course sucks for the other person, but at some point you will meet someone too...someone you know you do want to be with 🙂

It may seem a little heavy for a forum but I need to write it down somewhere. I've been in love with someone for a year who lives far away, I've travelled to him many times even though I live on practically no money, not once did he come see me. He used to send me texts like "you're gorgeous" or even text me poetry and the last couple of months he simply hasn't. So yesterday I sent a text saying "you don't find me romantically or sexually attractive" and at first he ignored it. And then finally said that he didn't and that he never led me on, when he did. Then came the facebook status this morning "when you wake up next to a wet patch you had a good night", I don't even have the words. He has been defriended but I just don't know how to deal with this emotionally.

Sealion that's awful!! 🙁 I know it probably feels like your world is ending right now, but by the sounds of it you've had a lucky escape there, that guy sounds like a really bad person!! Even if he wanted to end things if he loved you at any point he should have been considerate of your feelings when posting things on Facebook that you can see!! De friend him (and block him so you cant be tenpted to sneak a look at his page) delete his number and spend lots of time with your friends, you will meet someone who treats you right and really loves you when then time is right xx
