Good Vibrations

^yay congrats! That is so soon you must be so excited!

I'm back after a fairly successful trip to Oxford; all my meetings went well and everyone was really encouraging and supportive. Now I really got to get back to work seriously and finish my journal article asap.

And Pete and I are going to London for half-term; we couldn't afford going to France skiing because we left it too long and now the tickets are too expensive, London is much cheaper and we will still have a lot of fun!

I just went down to my friend's house and watched reality tv with him, no more exams for a month or so and I'm partying with my new friends tomorrow!:3

Turns out a good friend of mine, who is aaace at photography, has always wanted to work with models, but he feels weird asking girls to do it and all that! 😮
We joked about doing a photoshoot with a real pig's heart, something I've always wanted to do before I die, and I'm going to offer to actually be his guinea pig model if he wants, so we can both build up our portfolio's. 🙂

Fingers crossed he takes the offer. He's such a great friend to me, so I'm sure it would be alot nicer to share the experience with him than the stranger I did before. Less nerves and all that.

I'm planning to wait quite a long while before I suggest it, just because of secret secret reasons, so y'all are going to have to wait in suspense for the results for quite some time.

Oh, and, can you guys pleeaaasse like this facebook status thing? It's for a friend, we really want him to be the support band for another band at the O2 festival doo-dah. Every like counts for a vote. http://www.facebook.com/wearesaviours/posts/327021387331501

Just booked tickets to see Alestorm play next month, it'll be the first 'proper' gig I've been to in 5 years 🙂

Yay everyone 😀

My happy is small and happened yesterday, but someone told me my hair currently looks like a bonfire.

*1* Yes.  Flamey red/orange hair ftw.

I've always had dogs but walking them off the lead has always been difficult for one reason or another. My old Chinese Crested was a friendly boy who went to everyone and no matter how much I called he wouldn't come back. The Chihuahua mix breed we lost last year was a belligerent so-and-so who never did as he was told. Now we have Rudy. He follows me everywhere, no matter what and I wondered the other day if I could possibly walk him off the lead. So I took hubby to a park with us in case I needed help retrieving the dog if he didn't come back  and at first Rudy ran all over the place! He did come back but then he ran and ran and ran! But at least he kept coming back. Today I walked him all across the field on my own just holding the lead and he stayed with me most of the way around! You have to be quick to call him if he starts sniffing though, he gets his nose stuck in things and doesn't move away from the smell. But he came when he was called, stayed fairly close, didn't run off at all and even sat down when I wanted to put the lead back on him. He's awesome!

Yay for a good doggy!
My dog is amazing, she's never walked on a lead and she never leaves my sight when we go out, its funny how some will do it and some won't. Haha!

This is a weird dog related happy, but I took Mini to have her hair cut (she gets a bit tangly because she's so low to the ground) and she looks delightful! I can't stop snuggling her, she feels like warm velvet and she looks like a little tubby puppy. <3

Jealous of everyone with canine companions! Anyway, I'm happy today because another exam is out the way and I have a mini-break to Somerset booked for my birthday in a couple of weeks time. 🙂

Reasons for Mouse to be joyous today:

- Booked my tickets for Midlands Goth Festival in February, literally so excited I could cry.

- Naughtily ordered myself a new corset, can't really afford it but I guess I'll just keep an extra close eye on my other expenditure this month. Spiral steels and everything, yummy. It was massively reduced, can't wait.

- My other half finally got time off work so he's going to come up and visit me lots in February!

- I'm back home in April, and our best friend, who lives in Denmark, is coming over for 3 weeks to visit us! So excited, we're going to have the best time ever together!

my happy today is we had this staff awards thing in work tonight, with take the p*** awards. so we had free pizza (top marks already) and my award was The Tweenies Award for the brightest and most colourful hair and i got a tint bowl and brushes i was so happy hehe i loved it. also when i got the prize i mentioned that it would come in handy when i put the blue dye in my hair (which they have previously told me that they dont want me to do) and it had a good reaction so im going with it now and telling them its their fault for giving me the award! HA! HAVE THAT! lol. it just made me smile

I made me a pom pom.
It's a really simple thing, but when I was little, the school used to have a club where everyone did crafts. One of the most popular thing was pom poms. I never ever got to finish my pom pom because... I don't know. I just didn't.

So Mom's gave me some old wool she has. ( She's dug it all out because she's started crocheting blankets again.)

Needless to say, I'm over the moon. I've always wanted to get into crafts, but I just never get to for one reason or another. This pom pom is like. A godly item to me right now. xD! (Sorry for the terrible quality webcam picture.)

My brother told my mum that I smoke, and instead of being angry, she went out and bought me a huge tin of tobacco and all so I can use her rolling machine ( i can't hand roll ._.)
And we're redoing my room now!

I finally got my massive nose ring changed to a tiny circular barbell

Tomorrow I'm going to try to make jalapeno cream cheese wontons.

me and my boyfriend been into leeds today for the first time.. and well, it was an eventful day;D spent £25 and got some bargains, 50p manga, better than half price Walking Dead Tour shirt, dye dye dye! and some other stuff:3 also! Dead Island came too, so we've been on that all night bossing some zombies:D wuhooo
