and nearly pooed myself with love and joy
My Dad's got a goatee. That's enough to make my day the best day ever. I was more excited over his facial hair than my new colour.
haha my dad's still got his 'movember' moustache, he's too attached to it to let it go.
<< loves goatees. Was so glad when my hubby grew one last year. Your dad ROCKS Hazillian!
Get to see my bestie tonight and get all dressed up and go out 🙂
despite the loss of my cat, i still absolutely adore cats, i have a soft spot for them, and on the paper round this morning, there was this gorgeous gorgeous fluffy black cat with HUGE green eyes at one of the houses. after a minute or two of my secret cat calls, it came over it made my day, but i was gutted when we had to go to the next house, but my bf let me have a good 5 minutes sat on the sidewalk stroking it :3 THEN, at this other house there was a ginger kitten, probably about a year or maybe less with a little red collar with, a bell! 😀 i adore any pet with a bell collar, unfortunately, my kitty used to rip them off 🙁 it was kinda freaked out so hid in a bush, but it let me pet it, then it came out and sat next to me 😀
i'm such a weirdo but this made my day so much! all i need to do now is one day meet this cat that's missing an eye but it's remaining eye is bright blue, it sounds adorable and i hope i get to see it some time 😀
My Dad got rid of the goattee because mom complained too much. 🙁
Poh, that's so cool! 😮 I wish I could attract cats like that.
I can totally imagine you being the crazy cat lady. - Then again, most of us here are destined to be one of those. Maybe we should all move into the same street and populate it with ourselves and our cats. Everyone will run past it in fear, shrieking about witches and evil felines. *Cackles.*
That's an awesome idea! We can colour each others' hair and swap dye. But we have to be allowed rats as well, else Meeshybop and me can't come. Haha!
hahaha so true roby!
Erm. Guys.
I think I was just offered to do a photoshoot with somebody I know because they really like my hair.
...
I'm freaking out. I've never done one before. o-o!
I guess I gotta start somewhere, and she seems so nice.
Going to talk details through with her then consider it properly. Oh gawd I'm so nervous.
I'll try and keep you guys updated, but I tend to crumble under pressure. xD
You'll be fine!
You'll be fine! I've done modelling work in the past, and really the best tip I can give you is just to relax! It seems a silly thing to say, but if you're relaxed, you'll have a great time and take great pictures! Just remember the formalities: there should _always_ be a model release form for you to sign (regardless of whether you know the person or not) and if you've specified no topless/implied/bare arms/legs etc for whatever reason, they should honour that - if they try to suggest otherwise, then just leave. 🙂
I second Mouse on the release form. Did a topless shoot back in the days and didn't sign a release form, still a bit paranoid they might surface somewhere random one day. (I was 19 and definitely comfortable with it although the photographer was maybe a bit of a lech)
Modelling is kind of like acting, it's easier sometimes if you pretend to be someone else, then you don't feel so silly about posing etc.
I'm sure you won't be pushed to do something out of your comfort zone but it's good generally to go into it knowing what you want/don't want to do.
Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. I've done a bit of research before, but since I wasn't planning to go into it properly like this until I was eighteen, I didn't bother reading up on all this yet.
But if they do ever suggest otherwise, I'll most definitely just leave straight up. Somebody once said that when they had to deal with a rude photographer, they sucked it up for the rest of the shoot, then just specified that they'd never work with them again, but I don't think I'd quite like to put up with it to a certain extent. If a photographer is disrespectful, no matter who they are, I'd probably just politely inform them that I'm not comfortable and I'd rather leave.
I totally get what you mean with the acting thing. I did performing arts in school, so I'm used to the intense nerves before going on stage, but that doesn't mean it goes away.
But yeah. I'm not afraid to ask questions. I've already warned her I'm totally inexperienced, and she's very much okay with it and totally willing to let me learn.
It's still just up in the air, but if we do set it in stone and decide on a date and whatnot, I'll speak up about it.
I think my Atomic Pink is starting to fade. I was busy looking at how much my roots had come through and I noticed that nearer to my roots, it's turned a much paler pink than it was before. Plus my hair isn't neon anymore.
