Good Vibrations

got myself a right bargain from the comic shop at the market today! there's a comic that's out of print now that's selling online anything from £15 to £47 and i got it for a fiver! mint condition and may be worth a LOT in the future : )

I got nearly twelve hours of sleep last night.  Yes.

Going to sit back with some tea and watch paranormal tv shows and disney films for all of today.

but today is the day! we're catching the train in about 20 minutes to get there for 12 when the fair opens! i'm going to try and find Harley Quinn #1 and some Walking Deads to fill in my collection. wish me luck on my adventure! :'3

I'll get ready now, and after that I'm off to the cinema with friends :3 I'm really looking forward to it, even though we're watching Twilight and I dislike these movies - I'm sure it'll be ridiculously bad, which is always a good thing!;3

after about 3 days of doing crap all due to bailing people, i'm finally going out with my mum for some shopping. i'm not in the best of moods but i've been looking forward to actually just going out on my own with her instead of having my little brother being selfish and centre of attention with us. i'm going to ask a few piercers in the area to price up their smileys, i'm having a few second thoughts about self piercing, but i hope i manage to find a reliable piercer other than my local one to pop in to : )

Self piercing? Noooo, please don't.

My good vibe is that my daughter's at home today due to teacher's strike. It's good to have her around we've been checking out what all the smileys do on yahoo. lol

i've seen the light, matty : ) i popped in to blue banana while shopping to ask about their prices and everything, had a nice old talk with their piercer who did my scaffold and they said it's cost me anything from £10 to £15 depending on jewellry and if they have offers on, so i think i'm going to wait a bit until the day before my birthday (sounds weird, but my actual b'day is on a monday, and i wouldn't make it straight from school before it closes, so i'll go the day before with my passport and see if it's okay, no harm done if they tell me to wait, but i should imagine, the day before my bday with proof too would be fine and dandy, and my mum accepts that too)

also, around this time of year every year it's been tradition that the family go out for a christmas meal, and this year even more family are coming that i've never even met, i'm sort of nervous that they'll be like "holy crap we're all so mainstream and that kid who i've never met looks all weird" but hey-ho, my grandma's sister Jean is always so lovely at christmas, makes me awkward sometimes because she speaks to me like i know her as well as my grandma, when i don't, but she always loves my hair :') but today my mum bought me a lovely black lacey dress from H&M for only £15 it's lovely :3
aaaaand, shopping today was great, besides it being a bit cold and busy, i got my bf another of his presents, my dad a hideous (it really is gaudy) christmas jumper, a few other presents, almost done for christmas shopping now, then i can get saving for the january sales 😀 happy poh today :3

I may have a job in a sweetie shop down town! 🙂
I've given in my form and everything. I guilt tripped him about how I'm currently planning to work in a charity shop if I don't get this job, because I just need to at least get out the house and do -something- I'm so desperate. - And I didn't lie one bit.

The owner seems nice, too. I really hope that I get the job and that they're nice.

Mom asked me about the jobs I'd be willing to do around the shop. Immediate answer: "Taste testing." :L!
But I think the closest I'll get to taste testing is measuring bon bon amounts to bag up for the customers.

I have a meeting sometime in the next couple of weeks with one of my old tutors about PhD stuff. Apparently my supervisors from my dissertation have spoken to her about me as well, so that's a good sign. Just need to wait until she confirms a date she can do. It's very up in the air right now but if everything goes well she may agree to supervise me, and if so that will make everything so much easier and clearer. *fingers crossed*

I'm going down to London at the weekend to see one of my best friends and a bunch of people I'm good friends with from undergrad, so that should be fun.

And now I'm going to have a stir fry and a beer and watching Tinker, Tailor, Soilder Spy. (The 70s tv version).
