I know some of you have probably seen my mushy post on tumblr aha but I am just so so happy right now.
I'm happy that I failed my chemistry course last year because otherwise I'd still be stuck in the same rut that I was in last year.
But now I have an amazing set of friends and I have so much support and I really enjoy my course and things are looking hopeful with Surfer (I'm staying at his again tomorrow) and I'm over Jordan and it isn't weird and I'm genuinely happy for the first time in years. There's nothing hanging over me anymore and it's the best feeling in the world.
Heading into Brum for shopping and lunch. And on a purely vain note, my makeup looks ace today, lashes went on first time and everything 😀
Amy: Good luck with Citalopram, I thought they were awful 🙁 hoping they're better for you
oh no! what didnt you like about them? Ive only been on them a few days and not really noticing anything yet, although i no longer wanna eat everything in sight which i did on mirtazapine haha
I took Citalopram for a few years in my early 20s....they really helped and I didn't put any weight on - I weaned myself off them after id been feeling better for a while and I had no side effects. I've never had a relapse and have been fine now for a few years now. Fingers crossed they work for you too 🙂

Ahh this sounds promising =] Ive been on them for nearly a week now, I'm feeling a bit better, not a great deal but Im putting that down to being on a low dose for a short amount of time. Ive also changed my diet and I'm eating much more fruit and veggies so I think thats helping too =]
Amy I was on them about a year and a half ago and they really helped me, I don't think I put any weight on really. My only downside was it was hard coming off them but that's true about any medication really. They take about 2 weeks to properly get working I think anyway, so hope they start making you feel much better soon 🙂
I'm considering going back on them myself but we'll see x
I've made real diet changes. My chocolate intake was digusting (I was hiding the evidence from ryan;, as I was so ashamed of myself. But couldn't see a way out) just over 2 weeks ago I started getting chest pains & pain in my left arm (for sure wasnt a heart attack as is was under booby pain) anway so I confessed to ryan. So I made a change. He promised to never buy me chocolate again.
This was, as I said, over 2 weeks ago. I've switched to 80% as cold turkey has never worked before. So instead of 2/3 family sizes choc bars An evening, its half a bar max. I've also started eating salads. Which has never been a thing for me. I know this sounds so silly. But my addiction has been so bad for years, I feel really proud of myself for making a positive change. I had a creme egg today (mum poastednour easter eggs & my drivers license which was lost, got sent to our old house in norfolk which was then passed to my momma in tesco. Also yay) and they taste so artificial. I was eating 6-12 a day. So yay me 😉
Pippa, good for you! I'm doing the same thing myself. (I have to admit to giggling to myself as I read your post though... some of the misspelled words are hysterical!)
oh my goodness *blushes* i typed it on my phone on my lunch. im a lazy typer at the best of times & never proof read. i had trouble deciphering some of that message. have sorted it now though. crazy, lazy pippa 😉
I also used to eat a lot of chocolate when I was an undergrad - about 3 bars of galaxy caramel a day when I was dissertation writing - and I now can't face chocolate very often, I find it too sweet. So you will probably find your tastes change a lot as you start to eat it less. (Don't get me wrong, I still really like chocolate, but I have to be in the mood now and too much makes me feel sick).

I think it took a few months to feel better from memory, I just felt spaced out for the first few weeks but I doubt you'll have that if you were taking a different medication before the citalopram, and I had a few wobbles at the beginning...but they definitely helped a lot. I was taking 20 mg (which isn't high I don't think)
My kitty is back to his old self! He's perfectly fine again. 🙂 I'm so relieved.
Thought I'd share my latest bit of good news, some of you might have seen on facebook already, I've been accepted as a model for red skye comics 😀
Any page views/ shares or donations/ purchases would be greatly appreciated 🙂
My boyfriend and I are getting our first let together today. A puppy 🙂
