Had a nice day with the kids today

My leg is feeling much better a month on from when it dislocated, and I'm now able to use my sewing machine again 🙂 The muscle in my thigh has completely diminished though and so I can't bend my leg or lift it very well, but that'll come back soon with exercises 🙂

Overall just finally feeling happy again since it all happened!

Danger (my eldest), has tried four new foods this week!! 🙂 🙂 Which may not seem a big deal, but he has Asperger's, so has food issues. For him to try something new is HUGE in our house. I'm so proud of him!  Hope everyone here is well. 🙂

OMG, this reminds me SO MUCH of my OH! I totally understand the pride and joy you must feel right now, well done to your son!! My man has Aspergers too, and is massively picky when it comes to food. He used to exist on a rotation of about 4 or 5 different meals that he knew he liked, often ate the same meal every day if left to his own devices, covers everything with too much ketchup and hates trying anything new! It's one of the only things we massively disagree over. My family is Italian so food has always been very important and central to family life and I love cooking for others and food is basically my life, but he's wary of anything new and extremely fussy! It makes things a bit difficult when it comes to cooking a meal that keeps both of us happy! I almost cried with joy when he ate a lasagne recently without picking it apart with surgical precision, and as a massive bonus, he actually enjoyed it! (He usually doesn't like unfamiliar things or foods which are mixed and have 'unpredictable' ingredients rather than very separate meat, vegetable, potato, and usually won't touch anything with onion/mushrooms in, so lasagne type things are usually a complete no-go.) Was also a very proud day when we banished the Turkey Dinosaurs from the freezer for good, since he still ate those even in his twenties because they were familiar and he knew he liked them... (He has no right to have his amazing figure, he's been living off weird and unhealthy processed children's foods for years, very unfair haha) Still working on the vegetables, but I'm sure we'll get there one day. But yeah, just wanted to let you know that your post really touched my heart, I totally understand how you must be feeling! :3

This made me laugh, as my (34-year-old) boyfriend is still a big fan of the turkey dinosaurs. He had them for his Christmas dinner last year! To be fair, I would probably eat them too if they weren't covered in breadcrumbs. Dinosaur-shaped food = awesome food.

This. I try not to eat them but I love them so much, especially picking off all the breadcrumbs first 🙂 If it has dinosaurs I'm all over it.

Mouse, we're working on fruit and veg too. At the moment, he'll only eat apples. But they have to be green ones, and can't be too soft or sour. Sometimes he'll eat bananas, but only if he's in a banana phase. At a push, he'll eat sweet corn, but grudgingly.  He's pale as a cadaver because of it, so I give him a multi-vitamin with iron and a fish oil capsule to compensate.

And I am so with you on the eating the same meal thing! Danger does that all the time-or would do if I let him! His all-time fave is peanut butter and jam sandwiches. He'd eat them all day if I let him. And strawberry Cornetto's. And god help us if a brand he likes changes the packaging! :-O. He gets really suspicious and won't eat it, even though I tell him it's the same thing, just in a different box/jar/package, etc... Takes me ages (if at all) to persuade him it's the same food.  Sigh... 🙂

I've had a third sale in my shop this weekend, and this time, it's one of my handmade dresses!  This means so much more to me than a sale on the wholesale stock, since the reason I'm selling the wholesale stock is to turn a profit so that I can go self-employed full time and be able to concentrate more time on my own handmade designs!  Yay!  So incredibly happy right now, as this is the first sale of my handmade dresses!  *yay* *yay* *yay* *yay* *yay*

I get to sing today! Not that I didn't sing yesterday. And dance. For 3 hours plus extra rehearsing at home. I might actually be in shape by the end of this show. Still not impressed by casting, but I'm creating a fun and happy character to make the experience work for me!

I should go run lines...
