What vol peroxide should I use on my hair?

I've attached a photo of it, and sorry for the bad quality, it doesn't give my hair justice, but you can see the colour fine. It usually looks slightly lighter.
It measures 27"/68cm from my roots.
Honestly, the most adventurous action I've taken concerning my hair is straightening it, so it's virgin!
I suppose it's a medium blonde, so if I'm correct, I wouldn't need past a 20 vol? I'd appreciate any input you might have. I'm planning to lighten it to a platinum.
Thank-you! πŸ™‚

If it's all completely virgin that is really good!

It can really vary on the brand of bleach, but in general 1-2 20 vol bleaches should be fine (you'll likely need to spot bleach areas), or you could do a couple/few 30 vol bleach baths diluted to 15 vol. What bleach are you going to be using? If it were me I would test strand first to see how it goes and to check timing.

Remember to coat your hair in coconut oil at least a couple hours before bleaching too, it helps minimize the damage. I think it helps a lot!

This is the first major decision I've made to modify my hair, so I want to do it the in the most beneficial way to my hair possible.
EDIT: I've decided to buy the L'Oreal Infinie Platine bleach powder with the corresponding L'Oreal Professional Creme Oxydant .
I'm planning to bleach around late july-august, when I can purchase the products I'll require  online, but hopefully it might be earlier.
I'll definitely soak my hair in coconut oil the night prior to bleaching and do a strand test to see the outcome. I know someone who didn't test her choice of dye and had to bear patchy seaweed green hair instead of the neon green she expected *puzz*
Thank-you for your help!
