... Well that was unexpected. :-/
This morning, I was Directions Violet on top with a Lagoon Blue underlayer, though I've been actively trying to fade those colours out for a couple of weeks now. Mostly, I used Head and Shoulders with hot water, and I got a fair amount of dye out each time, to the point where the ends of the Violet were starting to look silver. A lot of it was still pretty bright, however
I had read about Colour B4 and thought it might be worth a try, so I picked some up (the stronger one), read through the instructions and slapped it on as directed.
Sooo... fast forward an hour or so.... and all my hair is turquoise. Vivid turquoise. 😮
I can't say I'm entirely opposed to the idea - frankly, I had wanted more blue my hair when I next dyed it - but given that I was expecting mucky silvery/greeny blonde, this came as something of a surprise!
Has anyone had this happen to them before? Did I do something wrong? Is there a possibility of getting rid of the Colour B4-induced turquoise, or am I stuck with it?
If I am stuck with it, would dyeing over bits of it (i.e. adding greens to get teal or darker blues/purples to get more varied shades) be a good way of making the best of it, or am I setting myself up for problems later?

Most blue based purples go turquoise when bleached or when a colour remover is used unless they are extremely faded. You can continue to fade the turquoise, when it is very pale a colour remover may take it out.

Yeah, I've had purples go greeny and bluey when using colour removers. Basically keep fading like wicked pixie said 🙂 I would like to see the colour though. It sounds cool.

Purples are a pain to remove quickly, as some shades go blue with colour removers, other shades go lime green with bleach.
I would just keep fading down the turquoise and see where you end up.

Ah, well, at least it's not some totally unheard-of reaction. 🙂 Seeing as my plan was to go blue/green/teal next anyway, would it be a bad idea to use my present shade as a base, or is this setting me up for later headaches?

I used colour b4 over a Directions red, turned patchy bright blue/ swamp green! Mine looked terrible though not nearly as pretty an accident as yours!

for an accident, it sure did come out looking beautiful. if i were you, i'd run with it and add streaks, like you're thinking. why not!
