Tried a bleach bath

You can do them roughly once a week. Don't forget to use coconut oil.

Can you not do an ombre of some kind?

A week - I was afraid of that!  Oh well I can deal with it.  Ombre might be interesting if I had any talent in doing hair!  It is almost looking like ombré on its own though - except that the top is such an ugly colour.  What colour would look good in its place?  The bottom 2/3 is dark red with bits of flaming orange lol.

Maybe a warm chocolate brown? Or if you tone down the bottom, something more ash brown. Or do you want a funky colour?

I thought I'd give a follow up!  After two colour removals using Colour B4 and two mild bleach baths I was left with extreme orange hair on the bottom 2/3 and mousy light brown on the top.  Feeling too lazy to deal with temporary colours any longer and also too busy to go to Sally's and pick out colour and developer, I bought a couple boxes of Age Defy (they were on offer) in dark blonde #7.  It comes with a packet of moisturiser to protect the ends before you colour. I suppose coconut oil would be as good if not better but I thought it was interesting to see this in a box kit.
Anyway, I put the dye over the whole mess and it turned out OK.  The orange is not so orange and the top, because the colour was a little lighter than my natural colour, lightened it a bit and left it with a bit of a reddish tone.  So it has helped even things out.  I can see the difference but it's gradual enough it looks pretty good.  It's not the colour I want but I'm well on my way now 😉  Thanks for all your help everyone.
