So - does ANYTHING actually shift Sfx VR? (edit with pic and call for ideas)

I've decided I'd like to try and go blonde again. I know - it's gonna take some time. But I thought a good fade to pastel would be a nice interim step.

I've tried colour remover, coconut oil, and this morning I've tried Katie's oil / bleach fade technique. (Hasten to add - not at the same time!)  Neither of those have made any visible difference at all.

Is there anything else anyone has tried with vr specifically before that's worked? Obviously not for now - I won't be that cruel to my hair - but over the next few weeks I really would like to move on from pink!

and from my experience - it lingers, and leaves traces, dont think its a good idea to try and strip it entirely but other colours do cover it when it gets to the pale stage pretty well.

Yeah that's the one I tried this morning. It's dried again now and looks exactly the same as it did yesterday.  πŸ™

Think I'm going to be stuck with neon pink for some time...

a few years back it took me about 2 months to fade it down to a neon - peachy pink and thats about as far as it went - but it was covered by blue VERY well, just the fade - at the very end of it - would be that god damn pink. It did fade enough eventually to look rather pastel though.
Most tldr version ever - most of my VR grew out and now I am using again. (lol)

Did you heat up the bleach powder/shampoo/oil when it was on your head? Have you tried just a clarifying shampoo warmed up under a cap or baking soda/vitamin c, etc?

Katie I've tried everything. Lots of heat as well. Gave in and did a bb and its now highlighter pink!

It's also v dry so going to give it a break and lots of treatments (planning mayonnaise tomorrow!!) to rehydrate it a bit.

I'm just impatient so want it NOW but I know that's not happening if I want to keep my hair! I'll be good. πŸ™‚

I would advise selling your soul.  Haha.

It's a bugger for sure!  I always have a pink streak in ny hair, no matter how much bleach/decolour I use.

Good luck!

I KNEW someone on here would come up with something I hadn't thought of...  πŸ˜›

Ok so this is what I've got now. This is after a colour b4, fading treatments, coconut oil soaks x 2, and a bb.

Blonde? Ha! Never happen. So I just need to think about what to do next. Any ideas? (However random they may be - mine have included a pixie cut! Lol!)

Moderator combined posts. Please use the modify post button rather than double posting. (oops - sorry!)

Another quick edit - just been to hairdresser to get worst of the dry ends trimmed. She reckoned the condition isn't too bad overall  *yay* so I may do another bb tomorrow after an oil soak tonight. From that any suggestions welcomed - I think I need to accept the caramel blonde I want will be next summer rather than this one!
