Roots Help - One Step to Pale Pink?

Hallo all, I've dyed my roots with Majicontrast Magenta for a few years now with a 12%. Last summer, I toned it all back to blonde and eventually  a wonderful silver grey sectioned with blue and purple. In February I threw directions poppy back on the whole lot, later did my roots magenta again and went back to red.

However, after finally getting my hair cut and the hint of sun, I'd let the magenta fade out to it's pink undertones. I now have what I think is an amazing mix of natural dark roots, darker red, pale pink and a bit of blonde from where the directions has washed out.

I would love this keep this pale pink colour for the summer and wondered if anyone could please help?

Is there a pink version of the Majicontrast method? Can I mix 12% with anything to do this in one go? I certainly don't mind doing my roots separately to my ends but I'd really love to reduce the time spent on my roots. I even don't mind a darker shade at the roots fading out, I just don't want too strong a tide line.

Is there anything available like Majicontrast but in pale pink?

Am I being utterly unaware, could I just reduce the amount of Majicontrast magenta in the colour:developer ratio?

Thanks!

I wouldn't use majicontrast at all. Switch to bleaching just your roots and then using a pink dye, something from special effects would be good, can't think of a colour off hand now as I have a headache, but someone can suggest one or a mix. It's a very long lasting dye and would be far better than trying to get majicontrast diluted to all over yet again (thus adding damage over damage when you don't need to). All you need to dilute special effects, so you get a nice range of toning pinks, is just add conditioner.

Thanks so much! I've gone for the plain bleach the roots solution but unfortunately didn't lift as much as it usually does so I've been stuck with golden blonde roots and pink lengths for a fortnight. Trying a light root re-bleach tonight then Directions in vermillion red with tonnes of white conditioner and HOPEFULLY this might work!

Cheers!

Oh, don't use Vermillion!  It's orange based; it won't go pink!

I would use straight Carnation Pink from Directions to achieve that colour, or dilute down Directions Rose Red if you want to go the dilution route.

Thank you for catching my Direction's colour error! I meant Rose Red - I'm an idiot!

I've changed tack as discovered a Jerome Russell pink toner on sale in Savers and threw that on for a trial with after gently taking my roots a little lighter. It's actually taken really well but probably isn't sustainable. Where the pink hasn't utterly taken, it's toned my yellow patches into a lovely silver so although I'm patchy, it's still quite nice!
