PICS R UP. Bleach & toner question with pics - toner not working on light yellow

Hi guys - newbie here. So my bottom half was highlighted hair from Virgin hair previous. And then i got my whole head bleached and toned. I've been getting my roots done more and more so the bottom half is quite darker more yellow and the roots are always lighter when they're done. This time she used 40 dev with bleach and it took well. Was a light yellow. Used wella t18 mixed with wella 10n and not much changed. It usually goes to dark blonde which is also not what I want but better than neon yellow. Right now you need sunglasses to look at my roots. I'm trying to get the color shown in the pic but never any success. I don't think I need to rebleach because it's pretty yellow but maybe I do. Or maybe the toner isn't right. The roots are definitely not what I want right now and as a whole it's not like the picture of the girl.

Any help Id love!! Girl who does my hair always says it's fine and I know it totally is / it's just not what I want - my skin has yellow tones so it's better I don't have yellow hair.

Thanks guys!!

I can't tell if the darkness is caused by that section really clinging onto the dye or if it just hasn't been lightened as much as the roots. I'd suggest using a color remover like Colour B4 and seeing how even it looks. If it is still too dark then it will need to be lightened more if your hair is up to it. In the future you might need a treatment to equalize your hair's porosity before dyeing/ toning. Also 40 volume is really strong stuff and I'm a little disturbed that she is doing your roots with it. If it were me I'd find a new stylist/ colorist or do it myself.

Are you going for more of a beige blonde, or platinum look?

Quite honestly I'm not sure the difference. I think platinum but not the fake looking kind. I ended up using wella t10 with 20 dev. Got the neon look out but now my hairs dark grayish. In the sunlight it looks dark blonde but it's like I can't win. Either it's yellow and neon or dark and grey.

I've always been told (in your situation) that if the hair isn't toning, then it's not lightened enough. I have the same problem, my hair pulls brassy when lightened and I always have to use a toning shampoo, or tone it. Honestly, I'm going to try a bleach wash on my hair, I'm looking for the platinum look. I would suggest doing the same thing. It's a lot less damaging and you can even add a little bit of conditioner, so your hair doesn't get as damaged. I recommend doing it on hair that doesn't have any product, styling serums, or gels in it, and that is a couple days dirty. The natural oils will help with the bleach wash. Only use a 20 volume. I also recommend buying a toner too just to be safe.
