Hi! I bleached my hair today, wanting to go lavender/lilac. After bleaching and using silver shampoo I've got really light blonde ends and roots but some of the mid lengths are an orangey blonde. I obviously don't want to bleach again and I don't think it's anywhere near light enough to tone yet. Any help on how to get rid of the orange?

It was bleached last year, from orange/red. It did go to platinum though. I used semi permenant browns this year but hadn't dyed it for a couple of months or so. I used colour b4 before bleaching it this time which turned it a realy pale brown. Hope that helps!

What silver shampoo are you using? I love bonacure. Treat your hair with kapak/protein treatment and deep conditioning. Then in a month see how your hair feels and do bleach baths. Hopefully it's not stained cuticles. As that's pretty impossible to budge.

I think it's colour save. Touch of silver is someone else. I've never used it. Perseverance is the key for light hair. Just don't get fed up and bleach. You'll regret it, I sware.

It shouldn't be staining since it's higher up + you have only used semis...I actually would try doing a couple fading treatments to see if it's still the semi still hanging around, because though the tone is darker than the rest of your hair, it looks pretty pale. Like, it doesn't look like the usual darker orange/gold stages that the hair goes through when bleaching, it looks much paler like it's still semi remnants clinging onto a paler base than you think. I would put some clarifying/anti dandruff shampoo in your hair, put a cap over it and warm it up for 10 minutes + leave it in another 20 to see if it the tone changes at all + if it looks lighter. You can add some baking soda and lemon juice to it too, or crushed up vitamin c tablets, etc. You'll need to wait a month anyway if it doesn't shift, so you'll still have time to use the Kpak and do some moisturizing treatments.
If you do need to bleach again though, even just spot bleach, coat your hair in coconut oil at least a couple hours before bleaching, it really helps keep the damage down 🙂
