Minimum time for coconut oil? (before bleach)

I was just wondering if there is a recommended minimum time that you should leave coconut oil in your hair before bleaching / bb?

Ideally I'd have it on overnight and bb in the morning, but today I'm tight on time with other things going on. Just wondered how long is the least I should leave the oil on to soak in before I bb?

(If it makes a difference, it's a bit dry at the ends (but not damaged) but also v greasy as I haven't washed it since Tuesday to let the natural oils build up.)

I've found that overnight definitely is best, it seems to minimise damage very well when it's left for several hours to soak in.

I've heard a very minimum of at least one hour but I'd try to squeeze in two if you can!

I was thinking 2 but it's good to get some verification!

I tested this out myself. The first time I did it, I left it on overnight. When I bleached my hair, VERY minimal damage was done, thank god lol. The second time I did it, I left it on for maybe a little over an hour. It did help, especially midshaft. My ends weren't severely damaged but they weren't necessarily in great condition either. I just got a hair cut after and my hair was perfectly fine. I would recommend leaving it on for at least 2 hours for sure!
