How should I go about lightening my hair after using Jobaz?

Hello πŸ™‚ I have naturally quite dark brown hair which I usually dye with permanent dark chocolate browns to cover up reddish tones for previous colours. A few months back I dyed it red again ( feria hot chili red). It faded from a rich , dark red to a washed out red/brown really quickly so I decided it wasn't for me and wanted something different, so I want to go a medium/dark ashy blonde πŸ™‚

Last week I used two applications of Jo Baz Max strength colour remover which left it a gingery colour. (First photo)

I feel like it removed the colour really well but there are some reddish/pink areas near my roots too which you can see in the second photo.

I got impatient after the jobaz and bleached a small section to see if it would reoxidise and you can see the bleached section in the last photo.

I used Jerome Russell Bblonde powder bleach and 40vol developer for about 20 minutes on the bleached section. I really want to lighten the rest of it, remove all the red and go ahead with a dark/medium blonde, how should I go about it? Full bleach, bleach bath? I'm wary of doing a full bleach using the Jerome Russell because of the 40vol developer. I'm also planning on using the coconut oil method either way πŸ™‚

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

Two things you could do differently in future -

You don't need to use a bleach solution in order to test for reoxidisation. Just a bit of the creme peroxide on it's own will tell you.
40 vol is way too strong for pretty much anyone. Take care of the section you've done and ensure you don't get more bleach on it.

What to do now?
Hmm, I think there's various options but if you want to look after the integrity of your hair I would suggest bleach bathing. It's gradual but for long term you can reduce the amount of potential damage

Bleach bathing is a good option, however, avoid putting it on the already bleached section
You can use conditioner to mix a bleach bath if you don't like the consistency of a shampoo+bleach
Stick to 20vol over few times rather than 40vol at once
Good luck!

Thanks! I think I'll gradually lift the colour with bleach baths. I didn't realise the developer was 40vol until after I had bought it so I'll definitely be buying some 20vol instead. Thanks for the advice πŸ™‚
