I've been getting my hair professionally colored for a couple of years now. However, since my hair grows very quickly - the costs to keep my hair the color the way I like it is... A LOT. Also, I am hoping to save money towards some traveling in the future therefore I would like to try a DIY version of coloring at home.
I've talked to my hairdresser and he was nice enough to give me the 'formula' to the color I usually get done.
Formula - L'oreal (COL) Maj 4.35 6+9% (ROOTS) 6% (END)
All I understand from this formula is that the hair color is 4.35 which I have already found. I know that in this formula I have to mix the hair color with peroxide.
However I do not understand what 6+9% (ROOTS) and 6% (END) means. I don't know how much I am suppose to mix the color together.
Please, can someone explain this to me? Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking your time to read this.
This means that he mixes the colour with 9% peroxide for your roots and with 6% peroxide for your lengths. You will be able to find the mixing ratios for dye:peroxide in the instructions inside the dye.
